I don't think the game could handle this many chest spawns with all 4 survivors having it, equipping purple coins, and the killer having hoarder on top of that

    That's 25+ chest spawns

Some things could be done about that such as:

    • Making coin offerings not stack with these types of perks.
    • Reducing the default amount of chests on the maps.
    • Removing coin offerings.

Not sure which of these solutions or other solutions would be best, but some things can be done to put these type of perks in the game.

This feels like a really boring sidequest for 1 potential play. Almost a minute to actually get an ability, because the other effects until 4 tokens are really weak and not worth it.

Honestly this feels more like an event item and quest rather than a perk. Cool idea for an event item, terrible as a perk. Thats my opinion

I would prefer to buff the perk in some way, like reducing the number of tokens required for the syringe to 3. This is a really cool ability. It'd be more fun to have it all the time instead of as an event.

Why can't other survivors use your item if you want to share? Why can't you get multiple good items by reactivating the perk again. Wouldn't the perk that gives better items from chest be better because you don't have all this requirements and restrictions?

I don't know, just feels like it has so many restrictions when the condition to activate it is already much more effort than other perks that give way better rewards.

I am not saying the reward should be better, but maybe you added to many conditions and restrictions for an already very safe perk.

I think you have a point with your first question. It could make for some nice moments having the ability to share your collector's item with another player. For example: "This player earned a cool item by completing some somewhat difficult requirements and sacrificing a perk slot, which proves he is a good player who was an asset to the team, and he was kind enough to gift his cool item to me instead of collecting it. I feel happy because of it."

The reason I decided to restrict sharing was because I wanted to add value to the items by making them hard to earn, but I think allowing sharing would cause other people who are not using the perk to enjoy themselves as well, by being gifted collector's items, which could be better.

You can't get multiple items per game because it would devalue the items is my reasoning. They are supposed to be somewhat difficult to get to make growing your collection feel more like an accomplishment.

Since you say the perk is so safe, maybe it'd be nice to add addons to the item as a reward. I was thinking since it has to be earned unlike ace in the hole, it'd be OK for the item to come with a purple and green add-on on the first and second slot respectively.

I guess? If you are experienced with the lore of the game. Most people will just think its a weird quirck.

My biggest problem is just that the effect is perk dependent, gen blocking isn't a basekit mechanic. So i don't know if adding a counter to certain perks in a basekit item is a good idea

No most people will not think its a weird quirk. They will understand light counters dark. Just like you can counter the artists crows or hags traps.

What about a blindness effect where you can't see auras or scratch marks for like 3 seconds after the blinding. This effect could be extanded with add-ons.

I don't know, i just don't think flashlights and gen blocking have much of a thematic to be related

Light is the opposite of darkness. The entity is a dark being. It makes total sense that they could be countered by light.
