  • As someone who plays both sides; you can absolutely kill all 4 survivors lol. The outcome of the game really depends on your choices, load out and how fast gens are progressing.

My advice for getting 4k's is to use perks that slow gens down. Hex: Pentimento paired with Haunted Ground has been really strong for slowing gens down and exposing surviviors at the same time, bring Undying and Haunted Ground just transfers and reactives everytime they break a totem, plus forces the surviviors to keep breaking totems. And they'll be breaking them to try to turn off Pentimento, which also means they're not doing gens. You can see where totems are so use those as bait to catch survivors. If you play as Trapper, you can trap a few totems for extra spice lol. Or if you play as Mikey or Ghostie, sneak up behind them. Maybe Hex: Thrill of Hunt or Hex: Ruin as your 4th perk.

The trial lasts as long as gens do, so the key is to slow things down as much as you can to have enough time to kill them all. And don't spend too much time chasing one person, this will cost you the match. If they aren't downed within 60 seconds, move on. Apply map pressure. Make sure you're checking gens. If you pass a generator during a chase that a survivior is on, injure them. Most times they stay on a gen if they think you're too busy chasing, use that.

Just gotta slow things down and be smart about your choices.

  • Nah, another base kit expose is overkill. Just use one of the existing ones or run expose perks. There's plenty of them.

  • Every Onryo player slugs the entire team and refuses to hook. A lot of Bubba's do this as well. I've had countless matches where everyone was left on the ground in the killer's face and they just stood there and waited for us to bleed out. I've even jump in a locker so they're forced to carry me, they just drop me on the ground. People actually do this, and it's a huge issue. There's no counter or balance for it, and its unfair to the people being slugged. I'd understand if you slugged everyone and then hooked everyone. But they dont. Games should be fun. Where is the fun in just laying on the ground waiting to die? It's a waste of time, and that's all these people are trying to do; waste our time. They have literally no other reason to slug 4 people and just stand there and wait for us to bleed out. It's poor sportsmanship and something needs to be done to discourage refusing to hook.

The issue with having two modes is that it divides the player base, leading to potentially longer queue times. Additionally, it lacks enforcement on playstyles, making it challenging to differentiate between casual and competitive play. What might be considered competitive play for one player could be casual for another who's just chilling. I also don't think it's a good idea to remove or lower the DC penalty for different modes.

Maybe queue times will be an issue, but I'd rather deal with that and have a more balanced game dynamic than what's going on now. As a survivor main, I see a lot of killers player super super aggressively and the team gets absolutely wiped because we just aren't there to play aggressively. Then we depip and basically get punished for not being sweaty. And when I play killer, I like to play casually, it's not a big deal to win or lose for me. But I'll get these aggressive swf teams that won't let me hook, block all my chases, and really just ruin the whole vibe. If there's a ranked/competitive mode, people can go play that way with each other and know exactly what to expect. And everyone else can play casually. It's not balanced at all for casual/competitive to be mixed up in one lobby. And as far as the DC penalty goes, casual means casual. It's not that serious, we get bots anyway.

before you switch off, it's better to take and do something in the match: totems, generators, heal injured teammates. what does toxic behavior mean? does someone's morale really drop because of a hit on a hanged hook, a couple of nods and a couple of squats? treat the game calmly and turn off the post-match chat

I literally described the toxic behavior I meant.
