  • This is my way too.

My ways are on Steam and i have 3 and 4 too there.

  • I see it very differently.

For me, it's a win if I enjoyed the round and am happy with my performance in relation to what I was up against. (Depending on the items etc.). As soon as it's just stressful and doesn't feel good, it's a loss for me.

If I kill the first survivor with Camp and Tunnel and the second with Noed because I adjusted my perks to gain time and 2 hooks, it wouldn't be a draw for me, it would be a loss.

That's why I always thought the number of hooks made more sense as a win calculation!

  • I have to say in advance that tunnelling does not happen very often on my MMR (which is presumably high) and when it does, it tends to happen at very specific times and usually from a very specific region that is active at the time.

Why should you stay in the game? So that your other 3 survivors can at least get out and the killer can be punished.

If your pursuit is good, you should get 2-3 Gens when you get hung up. Then they have enough time to finish off the others.

Tunnelling and camping are effective because many will just give up and the killer can easily get 3-4k and be rewarded. You also want to finish your turn quickly and well when someone else is tunnelling.

  • The trick is to sprint away.

Wait until the killer has had enough and tries to hit, then sprint away.

Then, if he is in a chase with others, charge up to 99% and do the same as a block.

It was still a difficult task, but not necessary to get further. Now you only need 1 hit.

  • Prestige 100 says nothing about the player, but you know they probably have a lot of good items and add-ons and some basic experience. (A lot of people are really stupid).

I have a surv at prestige 100 and the killer keeps leaving the lobby.

All the other surv and killers are at level 11 or 12 because I like to have a choice there.

I want the prestige to only show up in the endgame.

  • You can definitely play the game as a survivor.

The problem isn't just the killer. Sure, if he's camping and tunneling, you'll definitely die, but at least two will come out.

    That's no fun.

It's mainly up to the survivors themselves.

    1. choice of perks (what crap gets played)

    2. doing too much crap on the side

    3. just screwing and pushing gens while camping and tunnelling

    4. tend to hang out late when the killer is also camping and tunnelling.

2 people always get out easily, if not 3.

  • Well, I don't understand the problem.

Most of the time I don't tunnel, even if it means losing a game. Most of the time MMR works well for me.

As a survivor, I actually get good killers that match my (I guess high MMR).

As a killer, it's different. Killers I'm really strong with, I get good survivors (with a few exceptions) and vice versa.

My games are fun and I try to split the hooks. But if I always have to do 3 kills or more, don't be surprised if I have to tunnel etc because the MMR keeps going up. You get people who may not be suited for the kill, or worse, hackers who just cleverly hide it and only improve by a few percent.

I've learnt to play relaxed and both sides score well and have fun. Of course I always have to dominate, but you have to give everything to achieve your goal.

For me, winning as a Killer isn't about getting 3 or more kills, it's about doing well in the round. I've also had rounds where I've let everyone go because I've done enough, like hanging everyone twice and getting maximum points, except for the victims.

Just play your games for fun and fairness, then it will level out without you having to sweat all the time.

  • From what I've heard, it's not because of BHVR, it's because of Sony, who of course want to make money, which they do less of if you buy it elsewhere.

I don't think that's a bad thing in itself, since you've chosen to buy the game there.

What I don't understand is why character progress is not transferable. Why are my BP, items etc. not available?

That way I could switch between console and PC if necessary and decide for myself. The only disadvantage would be outfits and characters.

    Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

  • No, quite the opposite. I don't think there should be any ticket offers. Card offers usually serve as an advantage. Either it's good for the surv or the killer has an easy time there and the perks etc. are adjusted accordingly. In addition, survivors have the chance to decide more often, since 4 against 1 throw.

Card offers should be changed to card bans. Means if I don't want Midwitch, I cast that and get any other card. That way you don't necessarily have to play a stupid map.

  • You're just unlucky.

If I play Killer or Survivor and throw a map and the other side does too, then the other side always wins 90% of the time.

I'm never lucky in games of chance.

  • It depends on the situation. If I can save him, if not, I won't sacrifice myself.

It also depends on what he did in the round. If he was only hiding because Terror Radius was there, then I'm even less keen to save him and would even sell him.

The bot just has to prove itself.

And if the killer played really dirty, then I'd rather help the bot. I wouldn't want the killer to be rewarded for it.

  • Why does everyone play DS?

"Of the record" is much stronger because it can be used twice and you don't make any pain sounds for a long time. Why are people so fixated on DS? It feels like it's just because it fills you up so that you can ram something into the killer.

But I personally also think that DS needs a buff. If you're in an area where there's not really anything, you usually don't get far, especially killers like Nurse, Blight.

In my opinion, it should also be usable twice, because the killer already knows what he's getting into after the first time and the killer's ability has to recharge first so that killers like Nurse and Blight don't get you right back with a hit.

"DS" and "Of the record" should be perks that also bring a lot, because if you don't get tunneled, you only play 3 perks.

"Of the record" should also be usable if you get a hit directly after the unhook, as there are some killers who hit directly before you can really move.

  • It won't work that way.

The best thing is for people to look for players in the forum, be it for a SWF or "Kill Your friend".

If you then show them what to look out for and what their mistakes are, they will learn relatively quickly. There are lots of videos on how to get started properly.

The rest in memorising all this data. Be it all possible perks, addons, maps, items and how to run properly.

  • I rather have the feeling that I am not tunnelling when I play my P100. But maybe that's also because my hunts are relatively good and it may take so much time. Personally, as a killer, I prefer to go for the lower level survivors, as they are more likely to complete hunts faster.

But I've seen enough people playing P100 like beginners.

When I use P100 people, a lot of killers also leave the lobby.

  • Yes i make it always too^^ I use it only i have a good chance to escape!

People cheat because they can. That's the sole reason. And unfortunately BHVR made a very bad decision when they decided to make their game free on Epic Games during a cheater epidemic.

People cheated with the old rank system too (although less because cheaters couldn't get hundreds of free accounts from Epic Games). It is nowhere near as bad as it used to be though. I think some of us are a bit paranoid and see cheaters where there aren't any. Partly because we had seen it before and partly because cheaters these days are often more subtle.

It is the last one. Bad hackers are banned and smart hackers don't get caught.

    I never understood that mindset.

"Killers are tunneling basically every match!"

    "Run anti-tunnel then."

"But what if they don't tunnel?"

Like are they doing it almost every game or not lol. You can't have a perfect build for literally every single scenario.

Then I might only play with 3 or 2 perks rather than 4, but then I don't have any perks inside so that gens etc. go faster, which means that killers don't have to tunnel because there's more time. It's definitely a win if you get time out of gens for your team.

    Ideally at the tunnel:

    1. round start (Kiler seeks survivors) = Survivors seek Gens (make Gens)

    2. killer in in chase with a survivor until down/hook = 3 make generators

    3. killer looks for next survivor = 3 make generators

    4. killer in chase with a survivor until down/hook or unhook = 1.5 survivors make generators (because of rescue)

    5. survivor is either taken down during the chase if safe or shortly before the next stage

    6. killer tunnels, but has to land several hits, as suitable second chance perks. = 3 survivors make gens

    7. killer brings survivor to the hook.

    8. killer looks for next survivor = 3 make generators

    9. killer in chase with a survivor until down/hook or unhook= 1.5 survivors make generators (because of rescue)

    10. survivor is either dropped during the chase if safe or shortly before the next stage

    11. killer tunnels, but has to land several hits, because suitable second chance perks. = 3 survivors make gens

    12. killer brings survivor to the hook.

13th killer looks for next survivor = 3 make generators

Sure there are still perks that slow down gens etc, but a survivor who knows how to grind and can take multiple hits gives the team enough time to make gens.

2-3 gens are usually done by the time the first one is down. Then 2-3 are still missing and these are easily doable even if tunneled, as long as he can take more.

    But it's so rarely played.

I usually play "Of the record" and "we will make it" + "window of opportunity", "light"

Then there are 2 perks that help against tunneling + 2 for chasing.

If someone else heals me, I can even tank 3 hits until I lie down.

We also already had "Of the record", "we will make it", "DS", "Reassurance".

Killers don't stand a chance if you know you're grinding and in the worst case for him, he has to land 4 hits and before the survivor is finally downed.

Survivors don't need perks in normal gameplay as they are strong enough as it is. The only bad thing is when they are tunneled and camped. There are perks for this that ensure that at least 3 come out!

Also wohl einfach zu teuer.

It's not entirely the fault of survivors. Everything but fully optimized play got nerfed into the ground because someone complained. Now killers have to find and down a survivor in the first minute or they lose the game

That is correct, but the survivors do not adapt either.

If you tunnel because that's the only way the killers can win, but I or a lot of people want to survive, I have to adapt my perks. Whining about not using certain perks like "Of the record" because I might not get tunneled and then you only play with 3 perks.

  • So tunneling is also largely a problem caused by the survivors themselves. How often do I see in my games (about 2/3 surv/killer) that teammates don't heal themselves, don't take "off the record" or "we'll make it" etc., or do an unhook directly if the killer is still there. Most play perks that help with hunting or with gens. What is the killer supposed to do if the gens are done quickly because everyone loops for 2 minutes and people are faster at the gens. But then you complain because the killer wants to have fun and doesn't want to be in the endgame after 4 minutes unless he plays the top killers.

  • I'm sorry, poorly translated by the translator.

    String Pull:

In an attack, a cord is attached to the survivor. This cord is linked to both the killer and the survivor. The further the survivor is from the killer (distance traveled), the slower they become. When the survivor reaches a certain cord length, it snaps, giving the survivor a speed boost as if they were struck. The cord also breaks when the killer makes an attack, regardless of whether it's a special, normal, or missed attack.

    Tension Threads:

When the killer damages one or more generators, a cord is attached to them. When the killer approaches a locker, they attach the cord to the door, and when they slam the doors shut, all survivors within, for instance, 1 meter of the generators with cords are pulled away. When this happens, the generator being worked on explodes as if a skill check failed, the survivor screams in terror, triggering a killer instinct.

  • Please forgive my poor English; this has been generated by a translator, which is not perfect either. I usually struggle with English writing.

What I don't understand is, a high MMR usually means better opponents, which makes sense. (Certainly, long waiting times may also result in being matched with others, and this also makes sense to a certain extent). But if I get 2 kills, then I have a balanced game (if you look at the kill rate, not like I do) and stay in my rank. If I kill more, my rank goes up, and if I kill less, it goes down. It means that if I play the way I want, I end up in many games where my performance feels right for my playstyle. For example, if I hang twice first and then start killing, then I'm in the right place if I average 2 kills. If I achieve more, I eventually face better opponents until it balances out, or worse opponents if I kill less.

Another example is if I focus on the first hook and then play normally, I'll probably climb MMR faster because I'll often get more kills. But it also means my skills are lower, and I have a tough time, so I feel the need to complain and continue playing "unfairly." That's why I try to hang every 2 times and then start killing, except for my top killers. It feels like I have good games where you can play things other than the meta. With top killers, I want to sweat and prove something to myself.

Now the question is: Why do so many people complain? I believe it's often just misunderstood. As a killer, I've only killed 2, so I haven't won. If I and someone else don't escape (or only I don't), or if the killer isn't destroyed, I haven't won. For me, if I, as a survivor, performed well, it's a win for me (escaping is an extra point). And as a killer, if I had good chases, then I've won, even if everyone escapes, but I have 8 hooks. Since I've adopted this attitude, games are usually a lot of fun, unless I end up with really strange people.

  • Don't understand the problem.

3 Gen is largely a problem caused by survivors.

    But a compromise.

Why don't you change it like this, if the last 3 gens are active, then you can only reset them 8 times.

Kick 8 times (Do not reset)

Erruption, Surge, Pop, Trail of Torment and more can then be used normally and countered.

You then just have to leave the 3rd gen.

In my opinion, this would be a fair solution for both sides.

  • Surv Lose without healspeed = heal = no Gen

Surv Win = no Heal = gens

Because this, i play as Surv "We will make it" heal in 8 Sec (16 Sec because 2 Surv) and your can longer loop and it is a counter vs sluppy. 16 Sek (32 Sec because 2 Surv) is to long.

And "of the record" is the best second chance perk. You can use it 2 times, you make no sound. DS only 1 time, and no distance!

    My build:

Windows, Light, Of the record, We will make it

Nice heals, little bit anti tunnel for time for gens and the other build for a better loop.

  • Watch at Steam Forum and search for "Saving Tome-Bloodpoints! All after Tome 13 - Stage 2 (Update Tome"

This is my Ultimate Guide with the correct way now!

  • not nerv swf, buff solo q. Give them all swf things and then balance killer and surv. This is the only way.

  • I used power struggle and go it. Work fine!
