It's not really bad behaviour though. It's typical, expected behaviour. Majority rules and all that.

Plus this game is fun when it's challenging. When the killer is being silly it isn't really that fun. So im fine with playing to win every game.

I'd argue bullying and other toxic behaviours should not be typical or expected. Treating them as if they are only validates that behaviour. That's saying it's okay to be an ass behind a mask of anonymity.

There's also a huge difference between playing to win, and being mean. If someone beats me soundly, I'm going to be a little sore, but that's not bad behaviour. Beating someone and then t-bagging at the gate, or hitting them on hook, etc. is not good sportsmanship, and it's not good behaviour.

  • I forgot they even nerfed the perk, it was done before I had it.

Honestly, it's one of the least-useful perks in the game. It wastes a few seconds of the killer's time at most, before they kick the generator again. It doesn't help you escape, it doesn't really protect a generator, and it combos with three perks that I can think of off the top of my head: Wiretap, Repressed Alliance, and Residual Manifest.

It's a meme, and it should be buffed to be at least worthwhile.

  • I think they should leave it up so that players can get a better understanding for how that place actually connects together.

Saying that, I think there are now too many dead-ends on the map because of new holes in the wall. It feels like I will randomly walk into one of those window-beside-door, or door-beside-door, corners in Lery's. The difference being, there's just enough space on RPD to make me think I won't be cut-off, until the killer appears in front of me and I go down.

The map is super-confusing, and now it feels like swiss cheese. Never have I wanted a minimap more.

  • I try to play as fairly as possible, but I find that I often either destroy the Survivors when I play as Killer. If that's not the case, I have to sweat hard for the win, or else I'll get destroyed (and t-bagged at the exit gate) myself.

When I play as Survivor, I just get demolished pretty much every game. I'm not a great looper, so I have to try and be sneaky, but usually I just get dunked on by the killer. The only time that doesn't happen is if they installed yesterday. I never t-bag the killer, and I try to leave through the gate immediately, unless I think a teammate needs me. Still, in a game yesterday, the Ghost Face shook his head at me when he downed me quickly, and then "accidentally" camped me to second state (on RPD, btw), and then essentially focused me out of the game. I got 2.5k and lost my last Ranger medkit on my main for my trouble.

In the post-game the Killer apologized saying it wasn't intentional, but that's kinda BS. We all know that the most efficient thing you can do in this game as a Killer is remove someone early. This guy could have not sat in stealth in the one path to my hook, and/or could easily have gone looking for someone else when he found me about a minute off the hook.

If you are someone who says they want to play fair, and show sportsmanship, then do it. If you remove someone early, don't try and hide behind false kindness in the post-game. Just own being competitive.

no. scream is intended as that's the "kick survivor off". the part removed is not "scream" but "reveal their location to you"

That's unclear from the patch notes. Besides, the animation can definitely be separated from the scream, we've all seen at least one Feng Min trying to loop shack while holding her head. They could easily force the animation, and the sparks, without forcing the audio.

Hunter would work like Demo probably with the lunge, but would be M1 mainly, Smoker would probably work like Deathslinger cuz the gun and draw in would be the tongue, and Witch could release a high pitched scream that'll deafen survivors within a 10 meter radius for 15 seconds, cool down can be 45 seconds

I think the Witch would need to be another power/secondary power killer.

A disorienting/deafening scream could be one part. Another part should be a "rampage" type ability, possibly with the exposed effect and faster movement speed. This should probably be built up with an "alert" meter that is filled by noise alerts (gen explosions, etc.) and interacting with flashlights.

    You alerted the Witch!

  • I think Echo Terror is your best idea of the set. It's essentially Whispers for survivors. A very flavourful addition for if we get another Silent Hill chapter or paragraph. I'd be tempted to rename it "Echoing Terror" or "Intrusive Voices."

Calculated Risk is probably my second favourite, but I think it might be a bit too strong for what it is. I think it will either need a duration, or a requirement to fulfil, such as being injured or being within the terror radius. You take calculated risks when its important, you don't constantly take calculated risks.

I think several other of your ideas are cool, and about an equal number are probably unbalanced. Some of your generator-focused perks would absolutely demolish games practically by themselves. Overall, good food for thought!

  • I really like this! I expected a lot more comments complaining about how it is basically old Haddonfield. This map is clearly not old Haddonfield. There's only one two-storey building, and it only has about two drop-offs, and neither is particularly safe.

I think my biggest concern is the volume of unsafe pallet spawns on the map, especially indoors. It looks to me like you go indoors to basically die, lol.

I really like the stage set piece. It doesn't look too safe to my untrained eye, but it doesn't have to be. It just has to be a fun addition. I feel like I would want to play it a bit like the gallows on Dead Dawg. Get that generator finished ASAP, and really only feel safe doing so if I have Balanced Landing.

    Overall, very cool!

  • I have also had this bug, except I play on PC. So, this is affecting multiple platforms.

It occurred at around 1:30 AM (EST) today, Aug 04, 2022.

    DESCRIPTION

Step 1 : Boot the game on PC

Step 2 : Play as survivor in a public match with crossplay on, but no cross-platform players.

Step 3: Go to Mount Ormond (offering burnt).

Step 4 : Killer brings Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance

Step 5 : In-game, a survivor sets up a Boon with both Circle of Healing, and Shadowstep

Step 6 : Three survivors repair one generator within the Boon's radius.

Step 7 : Killer hooks the fourth survivor on a Scourge Hook, while the remaining are still repairing. Notice that the survivors scream (forced off gen by scream animation, and play scream audio) when the survivor is hooked.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    - I played Feng Min with: Prove Thyself, Hope, Streetwise (all T-III), and Built to Last (T-I), Green Medkit with Abdominal Patch & Gauze, and a Frightful Flan offering.

    - Killer played Blight with: BBQ and Chili, Hex: Blood Favor, Hex: Ruin, and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (all T-III). (I don't recognize his addons, and forgot to check them before leaving the postgame screen).

    - A fellow survivor (Jeff) brought: Boon: Circle of Healing, Boon: Shadowstep, Distortion (all T-III), and Lithe (T-I).

    - Map: Mount Ormond. Another survivor burned an Ormond offering (Mikaela).

    - The fourth survivor (Jonah) was the one hooked.

    - The killer did not immediately come to the generator, and we got the unhook safely, indicating he may not have seen or heard the screams.

    - Issue only happened once. I don't know if that was because the killer only hooked on a Scourge Hook once, or if the circumstances were right only that once. I do not recall getting hit by Pain Resonance at any other time in that match.

    - Note: the Killer's Ruin and Blood Favor had already been cleansed when the issue happened.

    - This was the last game that I played before copying my logs to submit here.
