2v8 is incredibly survivor-sided, but this is a whole new level of ridiculousness. The tonics are worthless for killer, but make the survivors unkillable. The gens are flying off the shelves and survivors can already rebuild god pallets and escape a chase with a button press, so how is removing an entire hook state a good idea? Killer is miserable from how hopeless getting a win is, and survivor is boring from how easy it is. These tonics are making it worse on both fronts. Now I don't even feel like I'm in danger while on death hook, since it means nothing.
I understand that you want survivor to be more fun, and 2v8 is suppose to be a casual gamemode. So if you want to give survivors extreme resources like this, then why not killers? The haste the tonics give you are a joke, so I propose that instead the purified tonic offer the killer the ability to kick a completed gen, uncompleting it and sending back to 80% or so. This would help with the gen speed, and make the tonics a valuable resource for both sides.
There is the major concern of game length. I see a lot of people complaining about the long length of 2v8 matches, and I would have to agree. The survivor tonics make this issue worse, and my idea for the killer tonics would make it much worse. Obviously the gamemode would have to be adjusted for this. Alternatively, neither effect could be a part of the gamemode. Perhaps different effects for the tonics should be considered.
PS: If anyone replies to this comment mentioning queue times, respectfully eat a large handful of dirt. Queue times mean nothing if the gamemode itself is a train wreck.

Be careful. People on here dont like reading the truth and will downvote you, because you insulted their fragile little survivor egos.
For real though. I knew it would probably be a mistake posting this on both Reddit and the official forums, but I figured I would try to voice my opinion. So far my experience has been people calling me stupid because it would "ruin the queue times" as if they would rather wait 20 minutes for a boring match than wait 30-40 minutes for an actually enjoyable one. Some lunatic even had the audacity to ask me if I've takin my pills today. But you know what, I'm not a sensitive person, so "feedback" like this is usually just good for a laugh. That's all this game feels like it's good for now anyways.

No offense, but that would kill 2v8. Nerfing Survivor too hard makes no sense for a mode that already has 2 Killers and also consistently fails to pull enough Survivors to meet BHVR's standards for the queue. You also have to factor in how strongly the disparity between Killer powers is reflected in the mode. The stronger the additions become, the stronger Survivor has to become to compensate.
Ideally, they'd refine the scaling difficulty to be stronger so that it does all of the heavy lifting. Anything else starts getting incredibly messy.
I see what you mean, but I personally think the current state of the gamemode is killing 2v8. I don't understand how people see a 30% kill rate and the snooze fest that is survivor and think that that is perfectly okay. I'm curious how you think my suggestions would kill 2v8. I'm sure killer queue times would go up, that's a given, but when the wait is already 20 minutes, an extra 10 minutes or so would be well worth it if the games were actually enjoyable. Assuming every 3 or so games right now are somewhat fun, and that's generous, the real queue times right now would be closer to an hour. I think 30 minutes is justified. Especially when you could use that time to be productive or simply do something else.

That's great that we're getting the stacking back, I am beyond thrilled, especially since we're still getting the much needed perk buffs, but it is beyond concerning that reverting the rarity changes wasn't mentioned… at all. They are going to revert right… right!
