  • Yeah I'm also showing 60 out of 200, and I would've sworn up and down I already completed it. Combined with the Total Completed quests adding up correctly, I'm assuming it's just a bad display showing as incomplete when really it has been completed.

  • I didn't notice this until recently, but can confirm Mistletoes, Halloween and Anniversary flashlights, Halloween Medkits, Anniversary toolboxes, Winter Party Crackers, and Screech Cobblers all now cost 5K blood points in the blood web as well.

Considering that many of those items are the equivalent to green and blue rarity normal items, the price increase on buying them is very unfortunate, and now they will feel bad during an event.

The "event rarity" mystery boxes still remain at the lower prices likely because they don't have a rarity attached to them.

Will this still be possible when the quest system goes live? I don't know the details and don't have time to watch the stream.

I like to cash them in for anniversary cakes, but will our completed challenges that we haven't claimed disappear once the new quests go live?

So the old tome challenges will still be present in the tomes section. It looks like they will still be available and since you're like me and save up for anniversaries, then yes you should be good. The PTB I would hope would shake this out, but historically the tomes are not available on the ptb so we can't know for sure 100% if they continue to not be enabled.

Sadly, this looks to be coming to an end and will be the last time that I have 10+ million bloodpoints saved up to spend on characters to get cakes.

Since dailies are 100% gone, make sure you cash those in before the May patch.

  • Tried Dracula who also has high M2 usage and his chaser emblem progress seemed fine, so issue might be tied to not counting chases as won or survivors hit when damaging with the venom strike ability.

so you think that window is on par with front upstairs window which is a guaranteed hit if killer knows and chases the right way? with that extra window both sides have a safe window so killer can't zone the survivor off one.

i agree with most of hens' takes but he doesn't speak god's words, he is simply wrong here. this window would only be acceptable if badham didn't have variables and that side of the house was always a dead zone.

a map 85% of forum users voted that it is heavily survivor sided and the only ever change in years to it is up for debate whether it's a nerf or a buff, it's kind of insane.

Regardless, someone has already posted up a youtube video as pig where they trapped someone on that generator. They changed it almost certainly because of that one video of someone that got 3 survivors stuck in that little room which is a one-in-a-million occurrence, while leaving every single other spot a killer can trap survivors in play.

Instead of fixing the issue at the root, they put a band aid in that doesn't help in the majority of cases.

  • Match lasted around 9 minutes, 40 seconds. Was on Swamp, the variant with the steam boat.

Had 22 points of generator defense so no Gatekeeper emblem at all.

    Here's the log:

    DeadByDaylight - Copy.log
  • I think the problem is that the Glyph node, instead of being equal to a big node, is equal to a small node so their math is off.

Last time a master challenge was bugged like that they eventually fixed it, but no idea if they'll fix the glyph or not.

Good job! I personally save all the bp from tomes for anniversaries to maximize the amount of cakes I can get.

I do the exact same thing. I'm currently working on the survivor archives since I've finished all the killer ones. I have a bunch locked behind nodes I'm saving since I have so many I can pick and choose from to do.

  • Yeah I can't see any way of doing better than this. Not as bad as Tome 1 track IV, but it forces everything down those paths.

Thanks as always for your efforts.

  • The other issue is that there is literally no penalty of just tunneling off hook repeatedly and killing someone at 4-5 gens left, then repeating. In fact the optimal playstyle is to just find the weakest looper and do exactly that since pain resonance and pop are still at full strength.

There needs to be a better balancing mechanism against killers that play like that, and for killers that struggle with getting their first down before losing 3 generators.

I noticed that in the past few tomes that go to level 85, either the tome lasted 15 days longer to be 85 days, or the tome had a secondary event that also granted shards somewhere in the middle. My guess is this is an indication that they didn't like the 85 day one, and since there isn't going to be an event, they opted to increase the shard counts instead to make it similar.

I have always said this though, and still believe this to be true, DBD has the greatest and fairest "battle pass" of any game i have ever played. DBD has a lot of problems for sure, but i have to give credit where it is do. I personally really like battle pass content because it is usually very cost efficient. For $5-10 i get so much content as long as i play, much more than if i just bought a $5-10 skin.

And BHVR makes it so fair. The "challenges" for the battle pass don't have time limits, sure they are gated, but thats just so you don't rush the whole thing right away, and they sometimes include new content in them so they want to wait until that releases. But the challenges never expire, and if you buy the tome, you are given the cost of the tome back in premium currency if you complete it (or mostly complete it) meaning that it is basically "free" if you complete it every time.

Most other games do things like, you have daily challenges you have to log in for, or weekly challenges, and if you miss those, well too bad, now you won't complete it. The other one is they often obfuscate how long it takes to level, you might see that the first "level" takes 1000 xp, but then the second one takes 1250, and the 3rd 1500, and so on. So you can't plan out how many levels per day you need.

There are all kinds of horrible things they could do to make the tomes unfair and milk money out of people, and yet they don't, and for it they end up with the greatest most fair system, and i have to commend them for it.

I missed the response here, but looks like it's an intentional change done to reduce the number of "filler" tome challenges.

I spent most of my time in Lights Out when doing survivor side opening chests because of the 30+ chests required for challenges. I got most of them down to either 1 left, or it required a perk to do, so it's nice to think they won't have as many fillers though rescuing your rescuer challenges will probably always be there.

  • Thanks for this, also I noticed the shard amounts are updated. It's 5/8 instead of 3/5 like in previous rifts.

I'm assuming it's to help the people that really struggle to complete 85 levels of it.

They patched the switch between epilogue and prologue

If you already had the track opened, it doesn't open the prologue for you. It's still closed off.

  • For the other path, someone came up with an alternate thread here:

This is my roadmap to save a lot of BP

To describe my issue, BHVR have switched a prologue and a epilogue...

We start with an epilogue and a prologue instead of start with the 2 prologues...

    Sorry for the inconvenient

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WRXRYSNM4PIF/17-3.png

however it's not as much as for the correct prologue because you have to bury into that corner. I'm curious if BHVR will patch a fix or not so I was planning on trying to follow the parts that line up from the right and see if it gets fixed which may mean sitting on uncompleted branches for a long while.

It's like that challenge they fixed to give the correct amount of BP's a bit ago, but that one took seemingly forever to be corrected.

    Awesome dude!

Thanks for this! Looking forward to hopefully there being a Halloween one, which I can thoroughly blitz!

    Much appreciated!

There is no need for a Halloween tome one because you can't save those challenges for later. As soon as the event is done, they are gone and can't be cashed in later.

  • Thanks for these. Also the better part of the later pathing is avoiding that Iri Unbroken challenge that is... interesting to get as someone that doesn't play a ton of survivor.

  • All tome challenges that involve basement hooks are bugged and cannot be completed.

  • All tome challenges that involved basement hooks are broken and cannot be completed.

  • I think it's every single challenge where you have to hook survivors in the basement. The current tome Buried Underground challenge will not count anyone. I've completed past ones so I can't verify completely.
