The death progress on a survivor when hooked should be slowed when a killer is in range, according to the heartbeat strength to the point where it just stops decaying when your standing there face camping.

    Problem solved.

That's actually a very good solution I think, but I'd rather make Devour Hope not a hex but bump up it's abilitys 2 tokens ea, i.e. 5 tokens exposed 7 tokens killable, killers will leave hooks immediately, and if they're good they will eat people. I already run devour but it'd be dirty and help fix camping this way :p

Is UB useful in solo or SWF? I feel like people who say it is useful 9/10 are playing SWF so no wonder they would argue. Same with almost all these perks people bring up.

I don't think UB is more of less effective with friends, either the killers will pick you up, or he won't. I don't run UB alot tbh I just felt that it was worth mentioning since OP thinks he needs anti slug measures. Personally when I play solo I run sprint burst, urban evasion, spine chill, and then I pick a situational perk like UB, DS, SG, or BT. When I SWF I go full medic lol Botany Knowledge, We'll make it, BT and Sprint Burst.

  • I just don't understand the perk choices. Why haunted ground when you have noed? When the gates are powered and they look for your hex, if they mistakenly cleanse haunted, it doesn't matter they r already one shot-able. Personally when I run haunted I go full hex, Devour Hope, Thrill of the hunt, Haunted ground, and the new one Gunslinger brought to reveal auras when a hex is clensed. This makes all 5 totems start as hexes, which means someone will almost definitely spawn near one, they will almost definitely start to clense it, and be pinned by thrill for me to immediately start chasing. If they cleanse a haunted and leave totems alone then they get devour hoped, and if they target the hexes then I target them with thrill.

Also I agree camping won't make you better, you don't learn anything new by sitting in front of a hook, but if that's what makes you happy, keep camping my dude, but please change your perks a little.

  • In my opinion survivors and killers are both skill based, you may not feel that way but that's probably because you don't play survivor at high ranks. BOTH sides need to learn every perk and add on or you are at a disadvantage. Recognizing perks/add ons and trying to counterplay them is a huge part of the game. Also where you mention that to be certain killers you need to listen attentively, that's true for EVERY survivor and killer. If you don't listen attentively as killer you miss grunts of pain, you miss gen/heal fails out of your fov, you miss hearing vaults, you miss locker doors swinging open and closed. As a survivor without sound you miss heartbeat, skill check warnings, grunts of teammates you could potentially heal, and more. Also learning placement and movement on both sides is extremely important, gen patrolling vs chasing for the killer, and when to heal/help others/repair gens as a survivor.

Anyways to keep from ranting even more I'll repeat, in my personal opinion I believe both sides require skill.

  • I see people baiting with stupid topics all the time but I made an account today because I believe that you believe what your saying. Unbreakable is a slugging counter, and where you say that it only helps you that is false. If everyone is slugged and 1 person is left getting chased then not only will you be able to up yourself you can then heal everyone slugged to injured or even full heal if the killers distracted or tunneling. Also if you really think slugging is just THAT unbearable and you get played by it THAT often, run ds with unbreakable and you either stun n run or self up. As someone whose rank 1'd both sides multiple seasons I can tell you slugging is not as bad as you feel it is.

Also a killer who slugs multiple people gives everyone a chance to crawl for the hatch and lose track of them. If they counter this with deerstalker then you were beat by a killer that realistically had 3 perks and it's kind of your fault... Sorry, not sorry, best of luck in your future trials!
