It would be easily exploitable to get blood points from kyf, and I don't see any reason why you would get less bloodpoints from playing swf. That's definitely not the problem of swf, survivors get quite less blood points compared to killers anyway

I've had fun while losing.
All of my teammates were dead and I was downed, the bubba we were playing against was doing house renovation while is was lying on the mattress bleeding out in the house on badham. I laughed my ass off that game
There was a game where I was playing deathslinger on dead dawg saloon. There was a survivor repairing the gen on the upper floor. I proceeded to waste 2 gens trying to get him off of there with the redeemer, I hit him a couple of times but I was never able to get him down from there. After a while another person came up there with him and they managed to finish the generator and ran away. Needless to say, I lost that game, but I had fun.

I think ebony and ivory mori should be the same but only usable on last hook.
Keys should be remade so it cannot open hatch. Instead make it only do the other things it can do, show auras of survivors and the killer, make all keys show the auras of survivors on deafult, increase the use time on the green and purple key. Take away the charge it takes to use and change some of the addons to show things it couldn't previously show (like pallets) this would make it a good alternative to a map and wouldn't be annoying for the killer, just a useful utility

Pretty much this. More then 1 toolbox and/or a key in the lobby and most likely the killer will REACT with a mori.
Also just READY UP in the lobby when your're ready. In my exp most killers won't bring up a mori when they can be 100% sure survivors are not bringing in clutch items. And i'm not talking about medkits/flashlights here. Just had a huntress match last night were they bring in 4 flashlights. And it actually was a fun game for everyone, not just boring genrush and hiding.
Dude, toolboxes are almost useless unless they bring a brand new part

Keys are only good with swfs. As solo survivor keys are often not useful and more often then not they hurt the team and help the killer.
1. People with keys often stop doing the objective once the hatch spawns, hurting the team who are still trying to finish the objective.
2. People with keys often bring the game offering. The game is one of the most killer sided maps. But they bring it because it is the easiest map to find hatch. The survivor with the key is most likey just going to hide all game allowing their teammates to die so they can get the hatch in the end.
You aren't seriously saying that the game is one of the most killer sided maps, the game usually has around 5 completely safe pallets and a bunch of fairly safe pallets. There are always two pretty good windows, for certain killers, yes it is killer sided, but most of the time it is survivors sided

I had a killer who tunneled me and post game the told me that if I didn't want to get tunneled bring DS. I ignored it (I don't like DS I prefer head on) and I continued running into this killer. I got so sick of him tunneling me I took DS just to get more than 6K points in the game. I then proceed to get tunneled harder than before. Turns out it was the same killer. He then told me he's tunneling me because I brought DS and he needed to tunnel me out of the game so he didn't have to deal with it anymore.
Can yall please explain this logic? I'm a red rank survivor that permanently runs Spinechill, Head On, Self Care, and BT to thr point most killers who run into me again know to avoid lockers during their chases and I'm not afraid to slam pallet with us on thr both side and vault (I just find this funnier especially if I get chucked by enduring mid vault). I don't get why I got tunneled outside I play Claudette but if you can't find me with a bring pink jacket and red hair then idk how to help you.
I doubt this story, I've never even ran into the same killer more than twice

So you're saying you're going to intentionally make everyone, including yourself, get less BPs and EXP just because I brought a green key with tokens to see other people's auras, and nothing else? Ok buddy.
Dude, I've never seen ANYONE bring a green key in red ranks

That is true, but at least franklins takes a bit of their progression off the key (if they have add-ons).
Dude like no one uses it for anything else than opening the hatch, but if they do, big respect

lol and then killers complain about BT.
Decisive.
Dead Hard.
And a whole lot of other perks that killers are still whining about to this day and wonder why these perks exist.
Oh Jesus....
Bt is a great perk, it makes it so that the killer can't tunnel the survivor, and that's the only thing it can do, tho I think it shouldn't be terror radio us dependent. Ds I still think needs a nerf, it's fine when it's used as a anti tunneling perk, but if someone uses it when it's only has like 3 seconds left and I've hooked 2 people in the meantime, then it's bullshit, and nothing wrong with dead hard, it's easy to counter

The killers strongest time is when there are less gens to patrol I agree and yet loads of people who only play killer will disconnect, cry, rage on forums, camp, tunnel and Mori people because a gen got done whilst they downed the first person claiming that gens times are too quick etc even though the game gets easier for killers the less gens there are.
There is always an excuse by people like you to play in a ######### manner you don't need to make a forum post explaining it because even without these things you're still going to play like a #########.
Dude I was just annoyed people cry about me using a broken mechanic against a broken mechanic. No need to use that profanity, it is very mean

I use franklins when I see a key so I'm good.
I mean I would too, but they can easily just go and pick it up again

I don't know why Killers act like Survivors don't have challenges/achievements they have to fulfill.
And I'm certain Survivor Mains are kinda over the whole "bring a key/toolbox/any item the devs created to assist you in the game & I will mori/camp/tunnel you" threats, as if this isn't a common way that Killers play regardless. If its like that, why the hell should we be worried?
I mean it's called a challenge, I'm make it a true one at that

Killer makes thread with an excuse as to why they camp/tunnel/mori..... groundbreaking.
I know right, I came up with it myself

@BigBrainMegMain said:
Yeah, because bringing a key means a guaranteed free escape.
You do know that keys only work if survivors work on gens, right?
And it's killers like you that are going to get all moris nerfed really soon.
You need to do gens. I need to down you, hook you and down you. My problem is when I kill a survivor and the last three survivors can just leave at 4 gens done. (like the nice gentleman already said) Patrolling becomes easier and easier the more gens are done, and that fact that you can just escape willy-nilly when it's the killers strongest time is the problem

Hey I don't feel to talk to much or what like people wanna talk or write they way they want and a language class really like I went to collect and got my two associate diploma and I speak clearly English and I'm engaged with a nice white woman so there no need to take a language class and that is not cool to say.
Okay, you're obviously trolling, have a happy marriage

Really I'm 24 year old and second I do deal with sweaty team all the time but doctor know how to stop them so I'm fine and this is not cool like how people don't get what I'm saying and be against me like if I'm the bad person in here.
Take a English language class jeesus, you're "24" but your grammar is kid grade

Self care is more harmful for the game than useful in my opinion, I rarely play survivor so when I do im quite low level, and it pains me when we are against a legion and everytime my teammates gets injured they run into the the corner of the map to heal with it. It takes ages to heal with self care and only a moment to injure a survivor especially with legion. As a killer main who plays ghost face this perk is my only true love
-
I really like ghost face, but in my opinion he is below average for a few reasons. I personally play him for a silent approach rather than stalking, tho I don't ignore stalking, there is a time and place to stalk in my opinion. He is too map dependent, many of the maps are absolutely horrible for him and some are absolutely amazing. Also he is extremely good at lower ranks and gets worse at higher ranks, more than most killers, this is due to play awareness. When paying him for a silent approach his ability cooldown feels way too long and I kinda feel forced to run two cooldown addons if I want him to be viable. Revealing him often feels kinda broken for both sides, I've been revealed trough walls even if I haven't been in line of sight at any moment, all in all rework the cooldown addons, shorten his ability cooldown and maybe add a mechanic where it gets even shorter if you manage to hit a survivor while you are in night shroud
-
From your grammar I can assume that you're one of those eleven year olds. Who think that people who run you around instead of doing gens is toxic, when in reality they are a swf just looking to have fun, don't care about winning and basically hand you a free game by not doing gens. Be grateful you didn't get a sweaty full swf who only care about winning

Till the hook drops, that player is still in game and that is what the game triggers on. I agree that their hitbox should be removed sooner once the soul is taken due to there being no body anymore. But I still say this is user error as the OP shouldn't have given up control over the harpoon allowing Dwight to put the hook between them in the first place.
It's part of learning skill for any other game. You need to learn quirks and play around them. Any Killer should know that hooks have a hitbox and any Deathslinger should know to not give up control of his harpoon.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1176745#Comment_1176745
The Survivor hitbox wasn't there, the player's collision was though.
Don't really know the full details as I didn't code the game. But it looks to me that the game removes the Survivor's hitbox but as that player is still in game he keeps his collision as no 2 players can be in the same spot. And if that player is still there with full collision, then he can still be interacted with through normal means such as getting attacked even without his hitbox.
Killer attacks, sees player in range, it triggers his attack, but as there is no Survivor hitbox the attack isn't confirmed and doesn't play the wipe animation.
To fix something like that the devs would need to remove the player as well as his hitbox. Sounds like a simple fix. But I think that if they did move the player at the moment of sacrifice then they would break that player's camera as it is linked to their location as well. You would need to also disjoint the camera from Survivor instead of simply panning it around. A disjointed camera itself could cause its own problems to boot thanks to Survivors having a 3rd person POV. It could get stuck or start to clip both of who are very bad.
There often is no "simple fix" and have to make due with what you got. Still jank but fully workable, repeatable, and something you can play around. So there isn't any need to fix something that isn't broke when it would break other things doing so.
Look at dedicated servers as an example and how it breaks more than it fixed or never even fixed to start with.
I think the simplest fix would be letting us choose if we wanted to have auto aim on or not

@Chewy102 said:
The Killer's attack hitbox is a simple cylinder in front of him, the devs shown this a little bit back in a stream. Who ever enters that cylinder first and who is closest to the Killer (in case of multiple targets) triggers/takes the hit.
In the OP's video the hooked Survivor's hitbox was still active and was more or less touching his left screen. It was closer and even physically blocking the Killer from reaching that Dwight. Like it or not, everything here is working as intended.
What the OP should be mad about is not playing around the hook like that Dwight did. The Dwight was allowed to take control and force the hooked Survivor between him and the Killer. Dwight took advantage of OP's mistake. That mistake was not holding S and pulling Dwight towards him. When OP let got of S or even held W to go forward it allowed Dwight to move to the side to such an amount to use the hook and dying Survivor as a blocker. If OP didn't allow this, he should have landed the hit without problem.
I don't see a hitbox problem here. I see user error.
I mean fair enough, I'm not very experienced with deathslinger, so I wasn't aware pulling survivors towards you while they are chained weakened their power to steer where they were going. But you have to admit I would have hit him if auto aim wasn't a thing
-
Sounds like this update is just making killers more stupid, what ######### uses mad grit + iron grasp, that's basically waste of two perk slots
-
You not using a space after a comma hurts my soul
-
Do some bones next time

You realise the third seal exists, its probably the worst hex perk at the moment, but that definitely shouldn't be made into a non hex version, since it would basically make all of the aura reading perks on survivors useless. This teribble idea could probably only work on huntress lullaby, since haunted grounds is made to be cleansed and thrill would be useless if there were no other hex perks than noed. I shouldn't even need to explain devour hope
-
It severely bothers me that you don't put a space after a comma
