I am not sure but if you are using steam can’t you change the axis in the steam overlay configuration for the controller? You can remap buttons and configure deadzones and many other stuff for the analogue sticks there at least..
OMG thank you so much! I'm relatively new to PC gaming and Steam in general so I didn't even know this was an option! It works perfectly now!
