THis change is the worst change since this game was launched.
With the old prestige system, you was able to stay at a level 50 bloodweb to have better items.
Now you are forced to prestige everytime you reach a level 50 bloodweb and you have level up the bloodweb again and again.
It's surely better to have perks, but if you need specifics great addons (ex: long range for the nurse) you must spend 500 000 bp before starting to see good addons in the bloodweb.
I had 2 000 000 BP and needed the long range add on for the nurse,
I had stiil the old bloodweb but didn't have this add on in iit.
So i was forced to prestige and start to level up the blood web, wishing that i will not wait too long to have my so desired addon on the bloodweb.
I spent more than 500 000 BP befaore having this addon and after I competly leveled up the Bloodweb to 50 and prestige again, i spent again 1 000 000 BP.
I only had 3 of this kind of addon with 1 500 000 BP .
So maybe you have now better chances to get perks, but you will struggle to get good addons because you will be most of the time in bloodwebs that have only crap such as the one from level 1 to level 40.
If you need to have your characters all filled with all perks it's then good for you, but it will be a nightmare for you to have good addons for all your characters.
I don't think lot of players are playing with all the characters.
II think most of the players have preferred characters and will be happy to have now all the parks available without to have to level up all characters.
But now it will cost a lot to have a purple flaslight once you will be forced to prestige.
I hope they will give better bloodweb for the low level or i think i will do as lot of other players and also as I did last year,.... stop playing this game AGAIN.

And for sure, no answers from any devs at all.
I thinkl the only thing i got to do is what i did previously, stop playing this game.
I did it one year, but i think now i will did it definitely like most of the steam friends i met in the game.

it's a mystery for me also.
The strange thing is that when it don't bug, I can play in ultra on my 1440P monitor and i got only 60% GPU and 30% CPU usage.
But every 2 or 3 matches, i got only 45 FPS, even if i change resolution to 1080P and graphics on low with scaling res at 65%.
It's almost like if the game is running in double.
But i think this game is poorly optimized.
Because even with everything on low and when i didn't have the issue, i got stutter very often.

I use MSI afterburner to see how much CPU and GPU usage.
Something is not right with this game.
It's the only game where i Have more CPU usage than GPU.

I did a Fresh install and now my fps are capped to 60 beside of 120 (which is good)
But i still have a bigger CPU usage in some match.
The good news is now I'm around 45 FPS when it happen which is bearable.
It start to happen the last update with the new map.
I hope the next update will fix the problem but i didn't dream. ^^

My PC is 5 year old but it's a high end
ASUS Z97WS
INTEL I7 4790K
EVGA GTX 980 Ti Watercooled
No heat or memory problems.
When the game is working normally, i got between 90 and 120 FPS with my GPU between 80 and 99% and CPU between 40 and 60%.
When the problem happen, i check the perf monitoring and i can see that it's DBD who take 80% CPU .
And while it's happening, the temp are around 60°C.
I have no problems in other games.
I ran metro exodus in 1080p on ultra and get between 90 and 120 fps .
The problem is, for me, from the game.
How can i have 100% CPU while the GPU is only at 30%.
Never had a game like that.
I'm not a master in computer but i play games a lot since almost 20 year now and always have more GPU usage than CPU .
I have 3 000 hours in this game and never had this issue.
If my computer wasn't able to run this game, i think i had noticed it since a moment.
I will give a try to the re install solution.

they are killing their game
i had 150 friends on steam playing this game.
Today only 2 are still playing.
And the major reason for lot of those who stop totally top play this game is dc penalty.
I'm also about to stop playing this game again.
i spent 3000 h playing it, but the dc penalty is what bother me the most, not because i'm a ragequiter, but because every 2 or 3 match, the game put my CPU at 100% while my GPU is only at 30% and i have 20 fps to play.
the first match i dc, but after i tried to kill killed but get slugged and let on the ground until i died,
they should change this dc penalty.
they should remove 100 000 BP and 1 rank instead.
And if the player have 0 BP, then the account goes negative.
if the player reach - 500 000, then he got a day of ban.
One thing behavior seems to not realize is that players can create mutliple steam account and get past the penalty if they wish to troll players.
And if not, they will simply go play an other game and realize that this game is finally not so good and maybe don't worth to waste lifetime in it.

i put 1920 x1080 resolution
graphics on low and 65% resolution.
I got only 30% GPU usage but CPU is at 100% and i got 30 fps while i got normally 90 FPS wiht 90% Gpu and 60% CPU max.
there is clearly a problem from the game and it totally ruin my motivation.
Got almost 3K hours in this game but when i see how devs are adding more and more bugs and seems to don't care of anything but cosmetics, i really start to think that i lost a huge amount of my lifetiime

Devs could tell us that in the game news beside of always showing only new cosmetics.
Look like they care more about cosmetics than bugs.

I can tell u that they don't need to do so much because she had the worst hit validation i ever seen.
When i play survivor i get hit from 2 meters, but when i play nurse i can see the weapon going trough the survivor who didn't get hit.
And i'm not tlking about small walls she can't go trough or when u hit the pallet and the survivor between the pallet an you didn't get hit.
It's also so good to go downstairs when you look up.
That's maybe the reason why only 2% have the 500 blink achievement.
Nobody want to play this frustrating to play killer.

I never saw a chat filter like that.
What is the point to filter like that?
and even to filter.
If someone say insult then we can screenshot and report.
But with this filter, the other players will believe that you are maybe insulting while you only say decent things.
DEVS !!!!!!! what are you doing?
You are killing your game.
Stop that pls.

i also have hard time to blink over a small wall or a pallet.
Sometimes it work and sometimes it don't.
On dead dawg i'm often stuck by a simple pillar and it make me loose lot of chases.
And a don't talk about hawking or lerry when you look up and you go down.
And the worst is when the basement is on your path.
You will always go in the basement even if you look up

i also hyave lot of time when my words was censored while it was not bad words.
for example you can't write: once you master the nurse
so you have "once you ###### the nurse"
People in chat will believe we say bad things.
And it's so simple to fool the system by adding points between letter li.ke th.is.
Let the people write bad things, so we can take scrennshots and report them.
But actually we can be reported for not saying bad words at all.

What is the point to stay hidden for so long time?
When it's over, it's over!
Just try to do objectives and if u get caught, that's the game.
you may loose rank but you can win the next match.
It's not like if you will loose your own life.
It's a game.
i got 20 min wasted on midwitch map and i know for sure that it was to annoy me because all gens were at opposite and there was no progression at all.
They switch lockers every min to avoid crows.
My luck was that i got the omega blink and i finish to get one of the 2 remaining.
And the last one was near the hatch and made noise to call me so he can teabag me before he get out.
There is a lot (too much) of bad behavior in this game.
So much hate.
It's sad because this game can be so fun and it's a unique gameplay.
I played it 2500 h.
But i start to be bored by all the bugs and the bad attitude of lot of players and i think i will do like 100 of the 150 friends i made in this game, i will stop playing this game for ever.
I did it for almost 2 years.
And i think next time it will be forever.

I'm playing as the nurse and i can tell you that i got lot (too much imao) of hits missed where i can see the weapon going trough the survivor.
So when i play survivor and i'm hit by the killer which is almost two meter of me i can tell you that it's frustrating.
I stop counting the time i hit the pallet beside of a survivor right in front of it and with full health (so it's not a DH).
I don't know if this is because it's the nurse and maybe a way to nerf her but it's really annoying.
This killer is really hard to play, espacially against swf around loops so if there is attack that should hit and it don't, no need to say that it's very frustrating.
Never saw a game bugged like that.
There is so much bug that the youtube channel 4gamers can make a video of 15 min every week.
And it's not everybody who clip their game.

It's maybe the only game i played where we can't change the resolution.
It's a shame.
Devs are only thinking about cosmectics.
So many problems in this game and they never answer or fix anuthing.
I hope this game will sunk soon.
I really enjoy this game, but devs like that didn't deserve to have money as they seems to not care at all about the players.

or u can do like in lot of survival game and put a long timer to dc
SO the killer have the time to hook the dc player and maybe the player will calm down and chill out before the timer.
i think that when players dc it's often because of a rage quit, and rage grow up fast but slow up after a couple of seconds generally.

dc must be count in the length of 1 day.
If in 1 day there is too much dc, next penalty will be applied.
Because right now i think (maybe i'm wrong i don't know the penalty machanic) that if a player dc 1 match and not the following, it reset the count, so he can dc 1 match on 2 and never get more than 1 minute of penalty.

I think that right now there is 2 thinks who totally ruin the game.
first : matchmaking totally broken
i played against rank 4 to 6 or 20 to 18 as rank 10
i almost all the time get unbalanced game and it really annoy me
never saw that in 2000 h
And second things are challenges
lot of players are disconnecting once they know their challenge became impossible to do.
But i think that nothing can be done for that because now devs seems to think only about cosmetics and making money on that.
I can understand it , but if a lot of players stop to play this game cos it became annoying and not fun at all they will not sell anything.
I have lot of players of my friendlist who stop playing this game while they was everyday on it.
And i'm sure it's for those reasons.

I asked several time the devs to give us the possibility to bind every action with separate or common key to prevent the situation where you jump in a locker beside vaulting or did a gen repair beside of healing near a gen or picking up an item under a hooked survivor (a survivor came for the unhook before me but get hit by a "franklin demise's user") beside of unhooking him with borrowed time, etc....
It's sad to say but devs seems to not care at all of the gameplay.
Look like they are only focusing on cosmetics.
They will finish to have no one left ob their game imao
I already have more than 50 players in my friendlist who was daily player on dbd but left the game because of all that kind of bug never fixed by devs.
i think it's a shame to not care at this point.
