I think our good (job) man Mcote sort of answered this in an interview long ago. He said that the reason they didnt put voice chat in the game was bc he wanted the player to be as unsure of their own teammates as they are of the killer. You dont know who you can trust or not at any point during the trial. The relationship between survivors is one that I'd describe as "uneasy teamwork": sure well work together to survive, but dont trust me to not use you for my own benefit. (Mcote also said the only reason they even added swf was because of high demand from players but thats whatever)

There are certain characters (i.e. Dwight, Claudette) with bandages on their base cosmetics. How do injuries work for the survivors? Do their injuries go away as soon as they escape, or do they have to tend to their wounds at the campfire? What happens if a survivor gets an injury at the campfire from a fight breaking out or something? Are survivors in danger of catching sicknesses while at the campfire?

i feel like ppl saying dbd has the most toxic community havent properly experienced a MOBA community. coming from smite, dbd was a breath of fresh air. i had plenty of ppl recognize when i was new and gave me pointers when i joined dbd, unlike smite where ppl harrassed and belittled u for chosing certain items on certain characters, and the ever-present intsa-lock loki who bashed the entire team for not helping them when they dove into a a full enemy team by themselves.
and yeah, now that im a decent player, i do get hate (ive been called the n word on multiple occasions by salty swf, and had fellow survivors who seemed so confident that i would be banned from the game for "working with the killer") but in 90% of my games both killer and survivors are good sports who understand that they were outplayed and made mistakes.
we can argue over which side is more toxic, but thats not the point. the only way to push out toxicity is with positivity. i always make sure to say gg and practice good sportsmanship, and if survivors wanna be racist with me or call me camper bc they kept triggering my traps i just laugh about it. i may take a screenshot to show to friends for some laughs but other than that i dont give them the time of day. just report and move on and dont let them bring me down. ill get salty too, believe me, but more often than not ill let it go (may just be all the killer ive played thats given me the patience of a saint haha)
i guess all i can say is: dont take the game too seriously, and learn to let go of things. ppl will always be toxic but for every 1 toxic ochido wanna be, theres 10 decent ppl just wanting to enjoy a good game. -
so the game is at the best state its been and only promising to get better with more buffs to weaker killers, and this rando youtuber decideds now is the time to make a long-ass video about the balancing issues? okay have fun continuing to support the same company with a different game mr. marth
