They can usually only changed if they get bugged so they can't be earned. Most likely the case even with your example.
R6 had a trophy for getting gold rank and they changed the conditions to just 5 flawless wins even though competitive is still the biggest mode and absolutely still possible to get. Bhvr CAN change other trophies but it's probably not their priority

Wrong, trophies and achievements can absolutely be changed after they are released. I personally know rainbow six was and a quick google search would have shown you.
