  • Really, in order to make solo as good as SWF they just need to add a pre game chat and allow other survivors to see eachothers perks (I have borrowed time, I have ds,etc) and another chat box in game and/or pings and notifications like they did in league of legends. (On my way, be careful ping, etc).

    Boom fixed

And honestly I don't mind solo being buffed to swf status, I want a more challenging and fair game . Swf ain't ever going away so let's adjust the game buff killers and solo survivors and have a real battle with both sides using all they can.

I wouldnt mind if they upped Vile Purge effectiveness just a small bit at base (and adjust add-ons accordingly).

Yeah, plagues effectiveness without add-ons is terrible and with add-ons it's extremely fast to break people. We need some kind of middle ground because the advantage of having those add-ons are ridiculous.

One thing I notice survivors are doing against me is cleansing in the corners of the map or far away completed gens making it so that if I get corrupt I have wasted time and lost the game. Survivors shouldn't be able to cleanse AND not worry about corrupt purge. Maybe they should add blindness to the fountains so they can't go to the far corners without knowing that they'll be cleansed. Maybe they should cleanse but a random fountain becomes corrupt.

With add-ons the plague is fine. Without them she is a c killer.

One of the biggest problems though is she can have an anti cleanse build or a build that banks on corrupt purge and you can get screwed if the survivors do the opposite of what you intended.

Even if people don't cleanse i still think she's a good killer with the right build - monitor, brutal, enduring, etc. It just feels awkward that survivors have the power to control your own power.

  • Yeah, he's good against bad players and bad against good players.

That's a major sign of a badly balanced character/ability in game design.

  • Yeah, I had a pig game yesterday where I had 9 hooks and someone died to my bear traps. I ended up getting a safety pip because bear traps death = Mori in the games eyes and using moris gives you a lot of negative points so it's hard to pip. Sucks because I didn't even mori them, and I played well.

If you mori someone you better have gotten 10 hooks that game because you aren't piping . You might even depip. I notice the ranking system is entirely based on how many hooks you got and all I can deduct from the game I played yesterday is that moris will subtract your hook points at the end of the game.

    Pretty dumb.

  • Noed is a perk that bad killers use for easy downs.

It's a perk that's good vs worse players and not as good vs better ones. I never used it because it feels like a perk that you have to be losing the game hard for it to be worthwhile. If you won a game because of noed it means you played bad and got lucky with survivor mistakes during the egc. It rewards bad play.

What I mean by that is that if you didnt have enough pressure to win the game or nearly win the game by the time the last gen got done, you should have lost that game anyway and should be looking to fill those holes in your strategy.

And sometimes it's not even useful. Either they cleanse or escape before you can down them.

I just dont like any perk that makes the game hard for weaker players while being okay/bad on the better players. It's just poor design.

I’m not a Doctor main but I plan on playing him more. He definitely is not the worst, but more of a below average killer. His power has potential, just requires some serious skill and muscle memory. He’s great at tracking, making them scream to show you where they are, and if you see the illusionary doctors, that’s where a survivor is.

His power can stop survivors from vaulting(if you time it right but it can make a difference), and of course, the final tier of insanity stops them from playing the game until they snap out of it. Another thing is that you can actually do the grab attack animation in treatment mode, able to stop them from vaulting and unhooking. It als happens a lot faster while in treatment mode.

So, run builds that emphasize his power, like the impossible skill check build. Just understand you’re gonna be eating pallets and try to learn when to shock a survivor so they don’t vault a window. Best advice I got, and you’ll have to wait to see what the devs got in store for the doctor. Hopefully coming up really soon.

I tried the impossible skill check build at rank 4 on jigsaw map. Survivors hit every overcharge skill check, ruin was found in the first minute, and good survivors won't miss the unnerving skill check. Pretty ######### man.

The best doctor build is one that isn't based on skill checks. Dark devotion is underused but definitely one of his best perks. Ruin is always needed above purple ranks.

Save the best for last is great on him as well if your not running dark devotion.

Bbq, discordance, nurses for tracking. But tracking isn't doctor's weak spot.

Bamboozle and enduring are also great perks because doctor's weak point is pallets. Shock just isn't reliable all the time.

I played one game as a anti heal build and it went alright. I think people should experiment with it more. Distressing, coulrophobia, sloppy butcher, ruin. You could also fit nurses calling somewhere in there.

  • Seems like your running a totem grabber build. Never tried it but I don't play with prayer beads. I'm rank 4 atm.

    Here's a few:

    Surveillance

    Make your choice

    Ruin

    Relentless (on console)

    Haunted grounds

    Discordance

Since you don't have bbq your going to need a tracking perk. Discordance or surveillance will work.

    Ruin is mandatory.

And the 4th is preference. I use haunted grounds make your choice or relentless.

This is the build I've had success with:

Bbq, ruin, surveillance, and haunted/relentless/make your choice

  • The fact that bear traps don't activate until a gen is completed is ridiculous. I understand the terror radius not activating it.

I think the pig gets a lot of nerfs because she's a complete stomper for lower ranked survivors . The fact they've nerfed her over and over again when she was never particularly good at high ranks proves that.

Honestly, I feel like after a while you will find you no longer need bbq. It's good for new players cause it kinda helps them with what to do next after hooking, kinda points them in the right direction. But after you gain experience, you will realize you already know what to do next, where you should go, what the survivors will likely do.

Plus, if you're really looking to bbq to help you at higher ranks, you'll likely be led astray. They can juke bbq by running one way for 4 seconds and then moving somewhere else, moving within 40m, locker.

    Bp is hella nice though...

Exactly. And once you get to purple ranks, most survivors know how to counter it by staying in 40m, going into a locker, etc. I was getting frustrated and switched to whispers for pig and plague. It's good on pig because you can crouch when it turns on and your bound to fine someone and I use it on plague to find survivors early before corrupt intervention falls off.
