I have a few quick ones I mention occasionally;
Edge Hang - (New Survivor Exhaustion Perk)
Survivors can crouch near a ledge (like the windows of houses / balconies etc.) and lower themselves out of it for x seconds. It'd be incredibly niche and silly, but I love the idea of looking up from your gen to see Dwight hanging out of a window or similar! I guess killers could see their fingers from their side so it's not OP as it'd be used infrequently enough they might not think to check etc.
Prone - (New Survivor Exhaustion Perk)
Sort of like Plot Twist but just used to break line of sight, i.e. you can elect to go prone for up to x seconds and can cancel it on command. Plot Twist has shown it can be funny / useful to drop to the ground and avoid a hit. I Also like the idea of electively crawling to get closer to a hooked survivor if a killer is camping / proxy camping.
Mind Games - Survivor Perk - Needs a better name ???
I'd like a perk where you can elect to regress a gen YOURSELF as a survivor! Mind games! As killer you always check if a gen has been touched since you kicked it and move on. If you could do it yourself, you might be able to hide close by. It'd be great to pair with aura reading perks / situational awareness of when they are likely to travel in your general direction. I see it as a gamble as you might get pushed off just after you've done it (and essentially do the killer's job for them) if the killer figures out that you've got the perk equipped!
Also
I love the idea I saw someone else come up with a while back for a Terrifier chapter concept they made, so credit to whoever that was!
(Name? Crossed Wires or similar?) - Killer Perk
When survivors complete opening the exit gate, it opens the opposite gate to the one they were working on... Could be a gut drop moment for 99ers haha!

Hello, also having the same problem!
psn ID - paul106i
I thought it might be a corrupted download, because there was a PS4 system software update a few days ago that I'd missed before downloading the update (and prepurchasing the chapter via phone app before downloading), but I since deleted dbd, updated the system software, and redownloaded dbd, and am still experiencing the problem. Hopefully that helps rule something out!
p.s. was able to get in on PS5! Just means me and my brother (I'm the primary account holder and he is the secondary) can't SWF together until this is fixed!
Thank you

I'm worried about the new killer etiquette the bots might bring... lots of killers slug the penultimate survivor to deny hatch and secure the 4k, which I find kind of awful for grounded survivor waiting. It feels very dispiriting to be treated like an inconvenience for wanting to play the game.
(In a variation of this it was awful to watch my brother think he was doing really well as the penultimate survivor one time to avoid the killer and watch his face fall as soon as he caught up to my more experienced reading of the game as he realised the killer was treating him as though he was invisible and just kicking the last gen to find the last survivor. One of my worst experiences of this game to watch that reaction. Genuinely awful to feel like the other player is irritated you'd dare to play in the same space as them.)
So will these killers go around and slug the bots to hunt down the last players? Or will they they slug the players and let the bots hook farm each other for the killer's bloodpoint benefit? It's literally no bother to them if the grounded player DCs as it will just add another bot. But the survivor player is once again feeling like a tool rather than a human being if they wait it out.
I also worry the bots could just be used as diving rods if they are programmed to be altruistic etc. for these type of killers to point them to the remaining players? Do bot slugs crawl towards players for help?
Finally I'm not sure how to handle it fairly as killer? At the moment if a player DC's I try to hook the remaining players twice, so we all get experience of chase etc. and then let people go. What do I do now? Like at what point do the players feel like they are being held hostage if there's four gens left etc.?

Mostly the fact that his whole backstory revolves around working hard for success, and his perks reflect that by all needing to be earned (Autodidact = healing penalties for a bit, deliverance = unhooking another person first, P E B B L E = being in the killers terror radius.
I just thought it was neat that his perks fit the theming of his lore.
Ah fair enough! Was just curious to see if I missed something by not being around at the time of his release! Thank you. :)

I agree! It's a shame they finished the boon / scourge hook era one chapter too soon for Haddie. Aura reading would probably have made the most sense with the connection to the Entity etc. (which they did with her other perk) - they gave Wiretap to Ada in the following chapter, so I have my suspicions it may have been reused / reworked!

Interesting, do you know where this recollection comes from? Is it from the perk descriptions themselves, or was it something discussed by the developers around his time of release? Just curious, no pressure to answer!

That was an interesting read! I'm not fully up with the lore, so I don't feel qualified to offer too much judgement. One thing I will suggest though, is that I'm not too sure about the potential for Adam to be connected to the Pariahs, at least through BHVR's initial design / intentions.
What I've noticed is that they tend to do things in batches, like it's laid out on a roadmap at the start of the year or similar, before changing direction the following year. An easy / visual example of this is the Boon / Scourge Hook era - they were happening every chapter for a while and then just dropped.
In this case, I think I've seen something similar about the Pariahs, i.e. Elodie / Felix etc. all come out around the same time, and people are quick to express disappointment that these chars never got a tome. It's like they had a plan for the Pariahs to be a very big deal, and then either panicked and backed out, or somebody higher up chose to go a different direction for the year ahead, pulling the plug on developing the Pariahs in the process.
That's just my theory anyway. My point being that I think Adam comes out much sooner than the Pariahs were likely to have been conceived, if that makes sense?
I've enjoyed reading your workings! But I wouldn't put too much stock in the Ice thing either, personally. It feels more like an individual writer's interpretation of Entity intervention. i.e. a tangible descriptive effect, rather than a deeper meaning. I'd be very surprised if they broke their own perfectly meta all encompassing connected world by introducing a rival to the Entity! Haha!
Please don't let me discourage you! I too feel Adam has potential to fill a bigger role! My head canon is formed largely around a picture I saw on twitter a while back of the the mystery of his disappearance or similar. In my head he's been a mysterious enigma ever since, working / investigating something big in the overworld of the fog. I too put stock in the character perks as reflections of their character, and I love the potential that Deliverance affords to just disappear at will!

My idea for a new exhaustion perk has always been the ability to Edge Hang!
The survivor walks / runs up to a flat lip (the edge of a main building / raised vaultable window etc.) and can Active Ability to lower themselves and grab on to the edge so that only their fingers are slightly visible to killer from their level vantage point.
They can hold this for x seconds (depending on the perk tier) before they can tap it again to haul themselves up!
If they don't press it again they drop down as though they just walked off normally (and release a grunt which might alert the killer etc.).
I just imagine how cool it'd be to be working a gen near a building, and from the corner of your eye you catch another survivor make the brave decision to try and hide by lower themselves out of the window! You see the killer looking for them with visible confusion, and then after a moment the survivor clambers back up! The killer then leaves the building none the wiser!
