I have to agree with OP, the DC system is too sensitive rn. I'm on PC and a killer disconnected yesterday (probably pulled a cord) and I got slapped with a DC penalty. I seem to recall that you could DC without a penalty 1 time but as soon as you start abusing it, it gives a penalty.
As for respawning... No... Instead, upon a DC, AFK teammate, or other seriously underperforming teammate situation, the entity (who likes a fair game) would level the playing field and either increase gen repair speed, or require less gens to be done. Nothing absurd ofc, just a small give, for a chance of escape to the remaining survivors.
Also has anyone noticed lag switching is back?

LOL! Well at least your honest. I just remembered this also kind of affects killers trying to pick up survivors near vaults/interactions.

It can be a real problem especially when theres a camping killer; someone tries to unhook gets a whack and runs away, someone else tries to unhook right behind them and instead picks up their item...
Of course this is just one scenario
