• How does spirits phasing sound actually work?

I thought I knew how it worked; people inside of her terror radius would hear nothing when she started phasing, and every survivor outside of it would hear it. But with Prayer Beads, it says every survivor outside of her terror radius hears it. Is it only within a certain distance?
