The new ruin isn't that terrible. Playing games outside of PTB, ruin is usually taken out before the first gen. You can chase one person, two people could be tapping a gen and the last person could find ruin and break it before you get your first down. Pros about new ruin: You could use surveillance, sure. Had a game, only two gens were completed. I get three iri emblems for everything BUT gatekeeper. What do I get instead? Absolutely nothing. So, can someone help explain the new gatekeeper better than what was mentioned, i feel like I'm missing out on something. Are we supposed to let survivors do gens? Alright. So, you get survivors off a gen, it starts regressing. Best combo I could see with this is possibly surge and thrilling tremors. However, I can't say I'm in love with the fact it is still a totem perk. Which those usually get cleansed quickly UNLESS it spawns in a really nice hidden area. So, you either get your corrupt purge, or you don't and it's dependent on one of two things. 1: Survivors cleanse super early in the game and it'll generally bite them in the rear for doing so. 2: You use iridescent seal and get called a try hard. I'm a P2 Freddy main and a killer main. I've noticed there's a lot of Freddy's out there using jump rope along with swing chains along with Thano, Dying light, Ruin. Am I wrong to consider this build to take no skill to use whatsoever? I can understand if you want to use ruin and one or the other add ons. I now noticed a lot of negativity towards the spirit. But the question is why? Is it because she's good and has an actual snowball chance to take down a 4 stack SWF? She's not that over powered, she just has good mobility. She can't even get over a window while using her ability. Sure she has good tracking abilities, but there's good survivor perks to counter it.
