I just experienced this as a survivor.
I took a protection hit for another survivor (we were both injured), while wesker used his power. I took the hit, but he still picked the other survivor up. However, he picked both of us up and when he hooked the other survivor I screamed too but was still attached to him. I could not move, wiggle, interact, etc. I was stuck in the carried-by-killer status on the HUD and everytime wesker hooked another survivor I screamed. This got to the point where we had to wait until the endgame collapse to run down. When the bar reached zero I was still attached to the killer and some 20-30 seconds I just died and the game ended
