  • I think everybody has HAD a bad experience in the game; but I'd disagree that the community is toxic. I find true horror fans to be so friendly and inclusive; but not all gamers. it's easy to follow confirmation bias on any extreme/side. Surround yourself with the company and vibes you seek.

the "nuance" of the game the game only scales larger and larger with each character and their addition of new perks. So lots of reading is required and new players are inevitably going to encounter something new. Can hopefully be exciting in addition to the confusion

Things arent explained well but in perspective they're the most descriptive theyve been in the games history So just be vocal about what youd like to see improved upon; but also idk what games you're playing that hand-feed you counter play; and additionally killers are supposed to be functional threats not avoidable dangers. So it often just comes down to doing your best with what you have to work with: map, perks, loops, resources, placement, pressure. Dozens of rabbit holes to dive into of things you can better and each of those things go into rounding out your performance and skill in a match. Same with playing as a killer, that familiarity highly benefits awareness for counterplay.

Game has a foundation of an unbalanced indie party game so the truth this game has lasted so long is a miracle and we love to see and experience miracles.

I hear and feel your complaints. Dont force yourself to play this game because that's not worth anything. As a primarily solo player I play mostly killer because solo queue is often a brutal experience. I focus on fun, exploration and new things and imo if you dont play this game with any intention, whether it's for fun, wins or improvement and bettering your mechanics you'll likely quickly hit a wall of some form.

Hope this was a good mix of everything.

    Take care everyone!

  • It feels like my remarks are not 'URGENT' but would like them heard."

Im happy to great free cosmetics, but i am confused why the update claims "We believe that we do this in the communities best interest." with no additional explanation..

Why lock away all other cosmetics then?

I am happy everyone can utilize the cosmetic items. For me, i probably spent an upwards of 10 hours during both events, I earned the items on my PC account.. and i play on console these days so its fortunate for me and others.

But it doesn't seem in consensus with other games treatment of event-based cosmetics. Apex Legends comes to mind as system of reference..

After that it goes on to offer an apology for stripping some characters of their legacy items, something that doesn't effect me personally; but

"o those users: we offer our deepest apologies and hope you understand why this decision has been made." Seems non-apologetic. offer anything like blood-points or create a new item class system. also makes me think of TF2 when they turned items "vintage" and were addressing item rarity stuff.

It shouldn't be such a grasp for straws on behalf of the "valued 'since start' players". This issue seems under-addressed.

but the real things that come to mind is i would love every game to open up cosmetic access.. but im also fine to see event items gated, that seems reasonable. In addition i would love to be able to spend blood-points on cosmetic items? its ironic to share access to "valuable" cosmetics and maintain a strict paywall for most of the other cosmetics..

I appreciate anybody who reads these thoughts.

  • Just want to offer this as a space for everybody to relay their reactions to the latest update/news (posted today?)

"We have made a decision to unlock the following cosmetics for all players on PC & Console.

    • The Huntress: Hound Mask (Howling Grounds)
    • David King: Untamed Donkey Jacket (Howling Grounds)
    • Kate: Free Song Bird Slip Dress (Scorching Summer BBQ)
    • The Hillbilly: Pro-Pain Hammer (Scorching Summer BBQ)

While we do understand that some players may feel disappointed by having us award these items to people who may not have taken part in these events, we believe that we do this in the community's best interests.

To put it simply: there is no way for us to verify who earned these items legitimately, as they weren't stored in the same way we currently store items. Since then, we have reworked our storage system and item tracking and made sure that if a similar issue occurs, we should be able to easily restore items.

    LEGACY ITEMS

The difference between the Legacy items and the event items is that Legacy was earned before a major rework of the Bloodweb system. To award Legacy to the rest of the community would severely alienate and undermine that part of the community that has been with us since 2016.

We are all too aware that users who earned Legacy and suffered a loss of progress will be incredibly disappointed with this news. To those users: we offer our deepest apologies and hope you understand why this decision has been made.
