The worst thing is, it's still painfully strong on Plague and Legion. They didn't just nerf Thana to death, they nerfed it to death except on the killers who needed a Thana nerf.

I can't understand the reasoning behind this change at all.

It's not "painfully strong" on Plague and Legion...it's a bad perk on everyone now. Maybe on Plague it's alright because it gives survivors a reason to cleanse at least one guy, but on Legion? It's garbage.

  • They've said that the matchmaking incentives are not meant to be a replacement for bbq/wglf because we don't need the extra BP anymore since they reduced the grind so much (lol).

  • It's true that if you're being tunneled and killed early it's likely that you're not very good. My response is...so what? Should having one bad player on a team doom the rest of the survivors to certain defeat? This isn't Dota. We're all here to have a good time.

Incentives should be aligned so that the most effective way to play is also fair. Right now the best strategy for a killer who wants to win is to pick out the weakest survivor and get them out of the game as fast as possible. Nobody feels good about that, not even most killers. Flashlight-clicking neon-clothed survivors who love being chased are not the ones complaining on the forums, and they are a small minority of the player base.

  • Been having fun with 'The Beast' - Soot, the one that gives you a terror radius when cloaked, and the Bone Clapper. Run with Coulrophobia, Dark Devotion, Sloppy Butcher, and Unnerving Presence. Really confusing for survivors.

No idea, I'm assuming that anyone over level 50 who gets bonus prestige levels will be reset to level 1 (worst case scenario)

Hmmm seems someone would have to know. Does anyone remember when they launched the PTB whether their p0 level 50 characters that got bonus prestige levels got reset to level 1?

    This explains it all:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AP7489BZDXX3/4d19a294-83e2-41f0-b7d6-81e67211d783.png

A tier 3 perk counts for 3 perk tiers.

    A page of perks included 15 perks, and if they're all purple/tier 3 that's 45 perk tiers. So 2 pages = +1 prestige level, 3 pages = +2 and 4 pages of purple = +3 prestige levels.

ALL perks on a survivor at tier 3 = 321 perk tiers, so +6 levels.

Thanks! One more question...let's say I have a p0 Lvl. 50 killer character with 120 perk tiers, so they'll be p2 after the update. Is that p2 lvl 1 or p2 lvl 50 (ready to immediately go to p3)?

  • If they were just trying to make money wouldn't they release a DLC with a strong killer with great perks so that players would actually be compelled to buy it?

  • I always just end it as fast as possible so we can all move on to the next one.

  • Don't be too worried about playing the "right" way. You'll hear a ton of moaning on this forum and elsewhere about tunneling and camping, but don't give it a second thought. Don't tunnel or camp just to be an ######### and ruin a survivor's experience, but it's often in your strategic interest to do a little of both. You don't win games by hooking everyone twice before killing anyone. My advice would be to juggle back and forth between the first 2 survivors you hook until they are out of the game. If you just tunnel one you run the risk of getting eaten alive by decisive strike and borrowed time. Once there are only 2 survivors left the game is pretty much over. Slug one and go find the other.

Just remember that you are going to get teabagged and BMed regardless of whether you play 'honorably' or not. Don't let it get you down.

  • Freddy is better because of his teleport and ability to sneak up on sleeping survivors If it was just a choice between bottles or snares I'd take bottles every time. They serve a similar purpose, most of the time just making a surv drop a pallet earlier than they would like, but clown can actually use bottles to catch up after kicking a pallet before they get to the next loop. Freddy cant do that. Also awake survivors are immune.

  • Wooden horse. Swing away.

  • The game isnt over after a rough start...proxy camp that hook and tunnel the first surv you downed. Get them out of the game asap...BT? Just follow and hit them again. Luckily the worst players i.e. the ones most likely to be hooked first and tunneled are also the least likely to run DS. They are running self care and urban evasion and ######### instead. Funny how that works. Turning a 4v1 into a 3v1 is the best way to turn things around.

  • Right on the d pad for 'gg' left for '######### you'... that's all you need really

  • 2k games are probably the least common outcome...0k and 4k are pretty common, as are 1ks where killer camps the hook with the gates powered, and 3ks where the last surv finds the hatch. The devs just want the average to be 2k when you add it all up, it's not like they want the majority of games to be 2ks.
