  • Interesting. I'll take your tips into my arsenal, and see what works for me and come back to let you know how it goes. In the mean time, would you guys check out my post about a new game mode?

For me I use Ruin, Surveillance, infectious frights, and whispers. It's what i have for now.

I leave them tormented and mini mori to kill them off or send them off to a cage if they just got off a hook cause chance of DS, they're under a pallet, if someone near with a flashlight or i need to hurry to a nearby gen or protect the totem.

If you got some idea where they all are or at least how far they are if most of them are far off just hook and have them come towards you or if they're nearby cage and chase someone.

Don't break every single pallet they throw down leave all the unsafe pallets that are easy to walk around. If they decide to jump the pallet they're locking themselves in an animation and it's an easy M2 hit. Break only the safe pallets.

If your using the add-ons that increase the trails length and duration (don't really need them but makes it better) i like making a trail around the hooked survivor. Most of the time they are forced to do the unhooking thing slowly buying you more time. If they drag it for too long and your nearby that could be an easy 1 or 2 tormented.

Alright. So the pallet thing. What are safe and unsafe pallets? I have been avoiding breaking any that fall lately. So if I were to guess, a safe pallet is out in the open and I can just walk around it. A unsafe pallet is something like the shack pallet, where the survivor can gain distance by dropping it and going out the other side or window, right?

Also, I hear rank 1 killers use a method called the "a and w" method, where you walk without constantly looking where your going. How can i corporate this method into controller?

  • I'm talking about when the game first starts. I timed it, within 30 seconds of 6 out of 10 games, no matter what perks I use, or hexes, or what I patrol, or even if I separate the survivors, they still finish at LEAST one gen within 7 to 10 seconds. No matter what. And the second gen within a few seconds after that. I was thinking increase skill checks or something with the times it takes to repair with certain add ons. And I'm mainly talking about console users. The keyboard and mouse users kinda balance each other out. A pc killer can use the A-W Method to gain a lot of distance. Juggling a thumbstick is a bit more challenging

I’ve thought about the possibility of new game modes before, but here’s the thing I’d be worried about: Queue times are already super slow. If the community was divided now between game modes, we’d be waiting even longer.

I like the creativity though! It’s fun to think about. And hopefully crossplay quickens matchmaking a little.

I think once the matchmaking is fixed and they do cross platform, the times would speed up drastically. Here lately finding a match hasnt been too hard honestly. But as a rank 14 killer getting matched with 3 rank 1 survivors, it's a little broken atm

It's dark because it's a horror game and a map designed to be scary and spooky. I understand the frustration, but the same goes for the Hospital. It was revamped and it looks 10x better with the darker theme and the rework in general. I love the map for the darkness and the look of it in general, but some of the pallet placements and some of the gaps and areas are irritating for both killer and survivor.

I understand its supposed to be dark and scary. I'm talking about actual visual things. Keep the darkness, just make it brighter , if that makes since. Like you know how resident evil has areas that are dark, gloomy, and scary, but you can still see everything. Resident evil 7 is a good example. You have a flashlight, but it's not needed all the time. Maybe the lighting can help a little more? Or like I suggested, a brightness setting. Not changing the atmosphere, but helping us see a bit better in game. On PS4
