You know, game is so hard as Survivor, especially when playing SWF, Survivors must be rewarded when completing 5 gens, since the game is already over and we shouldn't give the Killers any unnecessary chances to get Kills before we make it through the exit gate.
You know, that's why there is also a 4% chance to self unhooking, because it shouldn't be necessary to send another Survivor for an unhook, because this Survivor cannot repair generators in the meantime. That would be unfair.
You know, generator progress is too slow, BNP, Prove Thyself, Deja Vu, Resilience, Tool Boxes, all this perks, items, addons, ARE TOTALLY USELESS!
You know, most of the maps are completely Killer sided in general, like Eerie of Crows, Haddonfield, or Garden of Joy, and if we try to bring several map offerings the single Killer map offering always outmatches the Survivors map offerings.

I returned to DBD after a break today..
Matches in Solo Queue have been different for me. Some nice matches, some bad matches.
Last Game was annoying though. Our Sable immediately went to the Basement to perform her ritual, shortly afterwards the first random teammates disconnected after being hooked first time.
We managed to get 4 gens running even though the Sable was playing very strange to say the least, mainly because Killer was mediocre...
But in the end it turned out that the Sable was teaming with the Killer. She was at 0 hookstages all game, and lead the Killer to me when me and Sable were the last two remaining Survivors. Of course the Killer gave hatch to Sable afterwards, so she could complete her stupid adept achievement.
Yea...

I hold on for a long time but finally I decided to quit DBD because of this issue.
To be clear, it's not that there is a hacker in every game of mine, but lately they became so frequently (like every 3rd game something suspicious happens) that it completes kills the fun in playing DBD for me.
And I encounter them when I play Killer or Survivor. It makes no difference. Sure, most the time it's some subtile cheat, like wallhack, or running a tiny bit faster than possible, but even these "soft cheats" felt so annoying for me after some time.

If you chill and don't take the game any serious Solo Queue is fine. If your goal is to survive as many trials as possible playing Solo Queue is probably not optimal.
The only real problem I am experiencing from time to time is that the random team mates are immediately giving up once hooked, or even straight disconnect if they don't like the map or the Killer they are facing.

You shouldn't care about what survivors tell you in the afterchat.
If you use Lightborn they will tell you you are bad even if they brought 3 flashlights.
If you use aura reading perks they will tell you you are bad.
If you bring gen regression perks they wil tell you are bad.
So some survivors will tell you you are bad no matter what perks you brought and in which way you played.
Simple explanation: these fellows are either toxic in general, or they are mad because they lost.
Just play what you want and ignore them lol.

I don't agree on the argument that Killers usually go for the "weak link".
Take my last solo queue on Garden of Joy for example.
Game started, I went for gens, Killer didn't find me because he went to other side of the map first, but the other Survivors refrained from doing gens and hide the whole game, so Killer didn't find anyone but me after a while. I managed to dodge the Killer a few times and continued to work on generators while the Killer went off again in search of the other survivors, but they kept on hiding so in the end he found me again. And then he camped and tunneled me, knowing the other survivors won't work on generators in the meantime anyway.
So, I wouldn't say I was the "weak link" in this situation, since I was the only one working for progress on the generators while the others did hide and did nothing. And the Killer somehow found out and decided to tunnel me first.

A few days I played against a cheater SWF on Shattered Borgo. Game started, I patroled Gens, no Progress on any Gen, found nobody.
So I went to the other side of the map, suddenly the Gen 20 meters behind me which I just left immediately went to 100% (had 0% progress before). Then I saw a Dwight a few meters in front on me, he just stood there, recognized me, pointed at me, and then immediately vanished into thin air. A few seconds later the next generator was finished.
Then I DC'ed. No fun playing against obvious cheaters.

I report them multiple times but got only 1 success, even though one of them was running faster than killer in whole game.
It's sad but I don't report cheaters. Because the report function in its current state is too tedious to use. It takes too much time. And even if the cheater gets banned he / she will simply use a new account and carry on.

stop complaining about this build everyday... it's 2 perk slots and the survivor is following the killer + survivor so he is not on a gen
It's totally worth it to sacrifice 2 perk slots for this combo since the benefit is immense, and if you play SWF the gens will be finished in no time anyway.
This combo is busted and the Killer can't do anything to prevent it from being executed correctly if the Survivors are playing with comms.
The SWFs abuse it , same like Off the Record is abused. Off the Record was meant to prevent tunneling, but Survivors use it for body blocking.
And still Survivors complain about not receiving good new perks when stuff like Off the Record, Buckle Up + FTP, Reassurrance, Adrenaline and their various other problematic perks are in the game.
It seems to me Survivors just want to have an easy time so their busted perks have to stay in the game unchanged.
-
Thought so. That's just sad.

Should be deleted: Skull Merchant
Don't like: Blight, Spirit, Chucky
Like: Singularity, Dredge, Freddy, Wesker, Demogorgon, Oni
All other Killer characters are "Average / I don't care" - Tier

I don't have a problem when other players do throw a map offering, and I almost never dodge if a map offering is thrown, but the poor design of some maps is highlighted and some players really want to play these specific maps.
So, the offerings are not the problem in my opinion, it's the map design.
There are maps which favor one side, and there are maps which are simply not fun to play.
For me, the map I dislike the most is Haddonfield. Not because it is considered Survivor sided in general ( I play both sides), but because gameplay is just boring. The street quickly becomes a dead zone, so Survivors like to hide in the houses and abuse the windows which are very strong. And the hook spawns on this map are strange as well, which is especially bad if you play Scourge Hook Perks, and it often forces the Killer to slug if Survivors stubbornly stay in the Houses.

I have to admit that today I played a game on Disturbed Ward as Bubba and having Bamboozle was pretty useful I must say. Without Bamboozle I would never ever made the 4K.

A lot of SWFs also play much more altruistically, whereas SoloQ players leave when they can, so I guess that balances the scale.
If they were more willing to sacrifice each other, then i would absoluteley agree with you.
But let me put it like this, you do only get better at playing vs. people that are better than you.
For example with martial arts, the low ranks are also training with the black belts, they dont have a chance, and they take a beating, but they do get better.
Yea but if SWF plays too altruistic it is a skill issue. If a Killer camps and tries to snag that one kill, you should simply leave the hooked mate alone and finish gens.
When I play Killer I have many games in which Survivor swarm the hook just to save that one team mate, instead of simply doing gens and leave the trial. And then I have the chance to get more than one kill.
These games also manipulate the statistics. Imagine you play a game as Killer, 4 Gens are finished, you have 1 Survivor hooked, but in the end you get 3 or 4 Kills just because the other Survivors played too altruistic instead of finishing the game.
So while the Killer got dominated the whole game, statistically it' seen as a win for the Killer. Because Survivor threw the game.

U can just dodge a lobby with multiple flashlights or take the add on where you see auras when u rev.
They can still quick switch back to their flashlights shortly before the lobby countdown runs down. And Flashbangs / Firecrackers exist. And a Survivor could loot a Flashlight during the trial.

official stats for SoloQ vs. SWF survival rates
So what?
Those stats are meaningless regarding my last post.
I said that if you play as a Solo vs a strong killer with meta perks and sweaty playstyle you will most likely not survive.
Play Solo Queue vs a good Blight / Billy / Nurse, on a map which is not heavily survivor sided. Then tell me how many survivors did escape. Don't count the games in which Killer played bad or a weak Killer character was chosen. Those do not matter.
There is no question playing SWF is advantageous, I don't need any statistics proving that. The concrete statistical value of the advantage is of no importance.
-
You played Solo Queue Survivor against a strong Killer who probably brought good addons / perks and played sweaty.
I must be honest: Unless you get very decent random teammates and / or a map which favors you heavily you will most likely not survive the trial.
-
If Survivors play META perks and addons, your chances of winning as Killer are pretty slim on most maps unless Survivors make mistakes.
Hope that they make mistakes and/or don't bring the strong stuff.
Some Killers do dodge games if Survivors play too many Toolboxes or aim to play a bad map like Eerie of Crows or Garden of Joy for example.

Maybe I will have to part with Lightborn :/

Bamboozle is more of a perk tax on Bubba. He doesn't work at all if survivors are allowed to use every vault 3 times, even if good survivors will make Bamboozle do nothing else.
My main problem is that I feel I have to sacrifice 1 perk slot already as Killer to play Lightborn.
I know some Survivor mains will tell me now that you don't need Lightborn since you can play around flashlights if you are careful / patient, but for me it is very stressful not to be able to immediately pick up a downed Survivor just because there might be one of his team mates in the wings trying a flashlight save if I pick him up.
And If I also want to play Bamboozle as well, there are only 2 Perk Slots left to pick up for Information or Regression Perks.
Let's say I want to play Lightborn / Deadlock / Surge (Jolt) / Pop Goes the Weasel
.. which Perk should I drop for Bamboozle ?
Lightborn, as I said, I really enjoy playing.
Surge (Jolt) is in my opinion, still a good perk on Bubba, because at some loops there is no option to down Survivors using the chainsaw. And it saves time.
And Deadlock and Pop are considered META (although there are alternatives like Corrupt Interventon, Grim Embrace, Dead Man's Switch, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance or No Way Out).

Déja Vu, Hope, Sole Survivor and an Exhaustion Perk (most the time it's Lithe)
Déja Vu helps me finding Gens, Hope for Endgame (I don't play Adrenaline because I think it's too powerful), 1 Exhaustion Perk because why not,
and Sole Survivor because I mainly play Solo Queue
-
Played against that kind of Billy today on Thompson's House in solo queue. He / she simply ignored the few gens he couldn't defend anyway, and tunneled and camped the Survivors one by one after he caught the first one.
Very sweaty and unfun experience for me.
-
Bubba is my main and in my opinion he should be right in the middle of the pack.
It's true that he is way better using certain addons, and I also play Bamboozle (for obvious reasons), and you can also ######### up using the chainsaw wrong,
but I would always pick a Bubba over a Trickster, a Singularity or a Doctor.
Since you should assume you play the correct addons and perks when using a Killer. And in this case, Bubba for me feels more powerful than the 3 others mentioned.
But it's your Tierlist :).
-
Well it's your Tier List, everyone may have a different opinion...
But Artist and Huntress should not be A Tier in my opinion.
Huntress is a very map dependant Killer and she has 110% movement speed only.
And Artist ... well.. in my opinion she can't do much.. sniping in long range is basically luck, and her anti-loop is not that strong.
And I personally value Bubba and Clown a bit higher than you did, because they have an insta-down mechanic which has to be respected. Yes, they are not very mobile and have issues at some loop spots, but at least you can sometimes threaten instadown. Singularity, for example, feels like a basic M1 Killer in many situations.
Myers also has instadown, but he needs too long to activate it. I agree that he is considered a weak killer.
