  • Seems you are going against a lot of SWF (Survive With Friend) groups.

so i catch a guy. i hook him, and the moment i turn around theres 3 guys within reasonable distance. one runs up to unhook, i hit him which doesnt stop the unhooking, they are now both free. (i found out i could grab people that try to unhook, but lets face it, that wouldnt help. another one would just unhook.)

Even if you were able to down the person unhooking, they are most likely running Borrowed Time which gives them another health slate for a short time. Trust me, grabbing the person trying to unhook does help. Take that new survivor to a new hook while the other one gets saved. Each survivor can have a total of 3 hooks before they are dead, so you are making progress!

look where im going with this is simple. how do i deal with survivors that dont give a [BAD WORD] about me and just gangs up on me? my hits are not aoe (although i know some killers have aoe) and i feel like all killers should have aoe hits to deal with all these survivors just ganging up on that hooking pedestrial.

SWF groups will never give a ######### about the killer. The best way to deal with it is to keep a clear head and not let them bother you. Keep hooking them, the more they swarm you and the hooks means the less time they spend working on gens. The Cannibal's chainsaw is very good at AoE downing btw.

and whats this about them wiggling out of my grasp instantly almost after i pick them up?

They have the Decisive Strike perk, it lets them instantly escape the killer's grasp if they manage to hit a very small skill check. But that will only happen once per survivor.

and what am i supposed to do about flashlight?

Flashlight saves are infuriating, I would recommend leveling Hillbilly for his Lightborn perk (big resistance to the flashlight) or Cannibal for the Franklin's Demise perk (hitting a survivor causes them to drop their item). For now though just try to immediately look in a different direction as soon as you are able to.

and then sometimes they run to small areas that has a window + a small thing to leap over, could be a half wall or something. something that means its not just running, so im not faster than them. we just run in circles. what do i do? please tell me.

Try to outsmart them. It will be harder for more experienced survivors, but soon it will become muscle memory for you. The entity will block that window if they keep abusing it too. If they are running around pallets you just have to keep going until you can hit them or make them drop the pallet. You'll get Bloodlust stacks the longer you are in a chase which make you move faster.

ive done moderately well as the Pig, but now im struggling with the Wraith. the chase is decent, albeit not when they vault over stuff and keep a loop. but this ganging up on me, not even caring when i hook one because they get him down instantly? i dont know what to do.

When I play Wraith I always bring a "Windstorm" addon. It will help with survivors who take Sprint Burst and just outrun you as soon as you uncloak. Not every match will be against SWF too, but when it is just keep getting them down and hooking until they are dead. If no one swarms the hook right away, try to check gens and let them save while they are out of your terror radius. That will prevent Borrowed Time from triggering.
