This dude is out here unironically believing disconnecting in a videogame is an actual crime. I can't, this is too funny lmao
Some people REALLY need to touch some grass in here

As long as the DC penalty stays, the bots won't do much. Most people would rather suicide on hook than have to deal with the DC penalty. And in this case they'll be leaving their team with no bots to compensate.
Even with hook suicide removed people will then just run into the killer until they die or just do the Claudette playstyle and just hide around the map while doing random chests and totems until the game ends.
Even if you do force people to stay in a match, they'll still refuse to play normally, and in this situation people 100% would rather get a DC bot than a teammate just doing nothing which again makes the game a 3v1 just like hook suicides. (or even a 3v2 depending on the killer's perks and other survivors altruism).
No matter what you do, you can't force people to play if they don't want to or are not having fun.

I played for 4 hours last night and got one invite.
Also, I had a spirit and nurse DC at the last gen.
I guess I'm playing friendly killer for the event.
So much easier and less frustrating

Happy I'm part of the 1% 2 hooking everyone I guess. Sucks you're going through that, hope it gets better.
I switched to killer because surv was unbearable.
I'm now unlocking masks every game, making a score of at least 40K every game so bp are raining rn with all the cakes, while only 2 hooking everybody.
I've yet to encounter toxicity beside a single Tbagger and gen rushers. Most games end with GGs, TY and <3...

I mean, I could say that about survivors. Boy I sure am sick of those rapscallians and their sprint bursts! The swfs are out, and as wel all know swf is a gg ez no re. you dont get to choose how people play.
No, but the devs do.
That's why I asked them to finally make this non-sense stop, instead of asking players to kindly stop since this won't ever work

I have seen post about survivors gen rushing like crazy during this event.
How else are they supposed to get masks? They have to reach endgame which actually requires work, this isn't from toxicity it's literally because of the conditions the devs put on for survivors to get masks and killers sweating like crazy.
Playing normally barely yields results for survs, so gen rushing is the only viable option

Technically, both sides have to tryhard more than usual until everyone gets their masks (which should take about 3 days max).
In theory the game should return to it's normal amount of challenge by that time.
Again, it's the fault of how the objective functions, so it being done should make it more enjoyable.... in theory .
Wdym?????? Killers literally are guaranteed to get a mask, either they win and the hatch opens when they get the 3rd kill or survivors win and they get the mask when survs open exit gates...
There is 0 try harding required there, the only scenario where you could fail to get a mask is either by not getting an invitation completely or forgetting to keep a charge

I haven’t seen this once.
Got it twice already, if they don't 4K before the 5th gen they DC so survs don't get it
-
There is also the new trend of killers DCing if the survs are about to pop the last gen to deny them getting the rewards
-
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
You know I can create exactly same post on survivors, right?
You don't really get to decide how other side is playing.
I am sure that if you were stomping the killer, you would be so nice to go cleanse all totems, so everyone has more time to gain BP. For sure.
I'm sure those are 2 perfectly comparable experience and it's probably why they were so many complaints from survivors but 0 from killers. And that the only response to this is "just play killer / stop playing survivor"

Maps have a major design flaw, where they can have so many connected tiles and resources, that a killer might feel that it’s more efficient to stay in the same tile until they reach bloodlust 2 or 3, than it would be to break a pallet and follow the survivor to the next tile.
And maps have a major design flaw, there they can have so many connected tiles and resources, that equipping windows of opportunity can allow survivors an easy mode way of extending chases, where they can just run from tile to tile, and pre drop pallets instead of being required to try any sort of mind games or advanced tactics.
Maybe that's why I said that we should wait for maps to get fixed before removing BL

Or maybe the Survivors who spend all match following the Killer around trying to bait them into a chase so they can show off their looping skills should be shining in low MMR lobbies, where they should be until they learn that doing gens is how you win.
I swear this community can't get past the US vs Them mentality...
Yes if a survivors is bad/throws the should lose...
This applies to both sides, not just yours, not just survivors...

Because in a game where every Survivor can be literally uncatchable if they're good enough at looping, there'd be significantly fewer Killer players around.
Dbd is somewhat unique in that it expects you to not only be good in the 1v1, but also macro in the 4v1; it is possible to play all of your chases optimally and still lose if you aren't good at the 4v1. As anyone who's run the Killer for 5 whole minutes, but somehow their teammates only managed to finish a single gen in that time, can attest to.
Some Killer players aren't that good at chasing, but are good at macro, and a game where chase is literally everything doesn't really give those Killer players a chance to shine.
They can shine... In low MMR lobbys where they should be until they learn how to loop better...
-
@Monlyth said:
If a Killer is hitting BL 2 or 3, it means the Survivor looped the Killer for 25/35 seconds without forcing a pallet break, which is extremely good for the Survivor.
Factoring out the bad map design, Bloodlust is there to make it explicitly clear that the Survivor is supposed to lose a chase after a certain amount of time, because in a 4v1 game, the 1 has to be much stronger than the 4 individually.
Exactly a survivor is supposed to get downed, however why does it need to be from a crutch and not skill? Why instead of losing to get to a more suitable MMR the game the game tries to correct your mistakes to try and grant you a win?
Killers already have the upper hand in chase (Factoring out the bad map design).
If you can't win chases you should loose.

@Devil_hit11 said:
I think bloodlust 1 is most harmful actually. I think bloodlust should be last resort type mechanic. For example if the chase goes on for 80 second or more, you gain 30% speed and your attacks instant down giving you an uncontested chase win. in practice, bloodlust should never trigger unless there is such a absolutely powerful setup that is so strong that killer needs to break the infinity loop.
bloodlust is a problem but I doubt dev will change anything about the mechanic as there is little interest in making the loops fair for every killer to have an opportunity to get the hit at every loop. "Made for This" is going to be plaster fix to bloodlust 1 design for survivor.
So instead of fixing maps and making them more fair.
We should punish survivors for being good loopers?
In a balanced situation if a killer gets looped forever the should lose that game and lose MMR to end in a lobby more suited for him, instead of having the game giving him a cructh to win.

- Why are hooks so close to each other?? It encourages camping & tunneling!!! If it's not balanced, make hooks further apart and increase wiggle to balance it out.
- Why do 60% of killers have no terror radius?? If that's the case, survivors shouldn't have scratch marks OR instead, give us a perk that allows us to leave no scratch marks behind with a CD.
- A lot of survivor perks are countered with blindness... why bother making those perks to begin with? They're useless. Every perk you bring in should count for SOMETHING, otherwise, it's a used perk taking up space doing nothing. These counters are ridiculous and make the game NOT FUN! We put in a lot of game time/hours leveling our characters just to find out that the perk we wanted DOESN'T WORK!!!
- Killers that can instantly kill you or 1 shot you? NOT FUN. I just die on the hook. If ONE survivor alone can't do an instant generator, instant open chest, instant anything, killers shouldn't either. Then, you add into account that hooks are so close to each other, smaller maps, it's easy for killers and solo survivors it's a nightmare. In matches where killers just one shot me, I kill myself on hook and move on to the next game which makes me feel really bad for the rest of my solo survivor team but if I'm not having fun, forget it... it's not worth it.
- Create a special slot for both killers and survivors such as a specialty perk slot. For survivors, create unique customization which allows the survivor to become proficient in a particular ability such as healing, totem finder/cleanser, or some sort of buffs that each survivor can bring into the game with their 4 added perks. The same thing goes for killers, killers can have a unique perk slot where it gives them haste, or added buffs to down survivors. So, in the end, you have ONE special ability/specialty and your 4 added perks. OR make exhaustion perks ONE special ability with 4 perks that you can bring into the game.
This whole post screams new player entitlement

This is our anti spam feature and I'm afraid that will not be removed. The forum gets absolutely inundated with pages upon pages of spam if that feature is not active.
ok but what about editing comments? How does it work as anti spam?
-
Ok, this is just annoying, half of the stuff I post needs to be "validated by a moderator". I post a comment BOOM waits for validation, edit a comment BOOM wait for validation and guess what you're gonna have to wait HOURS for it to be validated since it's been like what? Over 4 hours and those comments still weren't validated. Could you guys PLEASE remove this annoying feature. There already is a report button to prevent bad stuff.

I believe the devs already said tunneling and camping are "strategies"
We could say that bully/sabo/rush squads are a strategy too but it doesn't mean it should exist, especially when it's ruining your game.
-
Devs should already be aware that tunneling and camping are one of dbd's biggest issues. There are complaints about it everyday and it's been the case for years. Now the real question is why hasn't it been actually addressed yet? Laziness? Do they not care? Do they think it's actually fine that way? (I don't think being this delusional is even possible so perhaps not it) HOW is it not their number ONE priority yet.
-
Facecamping still not addressed. Nurse still unchanged. Maps unbalanced. No perk search bar. Bloodweb still boring. No real in game report system. No transparency towards reports. No new game mode. More than half the perks are still useless garbage. And so on...
Actual good changes they made: bot in custom, perk rework, incencitives, prestige, loadouts, 2 tome challenges at once, streamer mode, BT
Bad changes: Perk reworks (yes, here too, since there were a lot of undeserved nerfs), Mori rework (basekit Cypress would have been enough), streamer mode (mostly used by hackers and griefers than actual streamers)
"Yes, I might have forgotten some stuff"
A lot of issue fixes and missing QOL changes have been requested for years but still not addressed.
It feels like they didn't put priority to the big issues, but that they rather worked on what they felt like working on.
(At least this year it feels like they are actually trying)

None of those examples ruin the game, as a survivor we are always a target. Any killer that allows breathing room and time to reset is being overly nice.
Work on stealth and you can at least find out if the killer uses those tactics when a teammate is downed.
Least delusional dbd player
-
Even if they don't want to Killswitch because of AOT skin, they could at least make it a priority.
People say that it's not a real issue anyway, but they seem to not realise that Oni already is a strong A tier killer and with the bug he's currently in S tier. They might not see it as a problem in their low to mid mmr but actually good Oni players became absolutely lethal and winning against them is almost impossible if you're not in a 4 man well coordinated swf

Go pick the slug back up.
For you or him to get down again and slugged? In this scenario you can only wait for the survivor to bleed out, picking up is not an option since it will result in the same thing happening or killing you both
-
You're basically asking for an op version of dead hard for killers...
-
A lot of killers also camp not as a strategy, but because they know it annoys survivor and is just toxic.
Making the benefits of camping zero is a good idea, however, just changing the bp gains won't stop toxic players and will still grant free kills, what really needs to happen is to make camping a completely unreliable.
Someone already asked for hooks to change place when the killer camps them just like for pyramid head cages which IMO seems like a great idea
