okay you are an adult, but does that mean you have to constantly swear even anywhere anytime? Just chill .

i think thats a personal problem then lol and probably shows you cussing alot in the chat box .

i do agree that there are certain words need to be unlocked or whatever on the chat box but if you wanna message all you want then just go message them on their platform .

Edit : reason why they put the chat box is constant everywhere insults thrown at the killer or any player in general because they didn’t do what they want etc .

i’m also into the idea that they should make it optional like cross play does.

That is not at all my experience with this game, 70% of the time it's just ggs in the chat, the rest of the time it was just an exciting game and people get amped up. Very very rarely do I see abuse hurled at anyone. This is stupid and condescending. Fine, put it in, but don't force it on us. You can't deny that it's super hypocritical to wag the finger at their player base when the game has swearing right through it, and I haven't even bothered getting into some of the cutscenes and expanded lore.

Theres a difference between those and the chat messages.

the quotes on perks aren’t reportable and aren’t offending nobody and probably for a story line shows what character is the survivor is like david and others.

the chat messages are reportable and it can offend anybody And isnt for a story or a quote of a character or whatever .

this is kind of a poor comparison but i agree the chat filter needs fixing it even blocks players names!

That difference is completely arbitrary. There's no difference between that and me wanting to say '######### yeah boys' after a great win in a solo queue with my new friends. We are supposed to be grown ups. We should have the option to turn it off.
