No matter what you do, you're going to get salt from survivors who are just upset they didn't "win".
So just play how you see fit, even if the tactics you use are considered unsportsmanlike in Chapter 3, Section 6, Paragraph 4 of the "Dead By Daylight Community Rulebook"

Some of the "anti-camp" suggestions people have posted are so poorly thought through that it's disgusting.
In a stream I was watching yesterday, someone tossed out the insane idea of:
"If a killer is within a certain range of the hook, survivors shouldn't die on it".
Just like the OP's clownshoe idea, it was just another easily exploitable free unhook boondoggle idea.
When I play survivor, I dislike being camped just as much as most other players do. But it's a part of the game that we have to play around. I'll let another surv rot on the hook if the Killer is hard camping. Not going to feed them another down when I can just pop a couple generators and open the exit gate. If those actions push the killer away from the hook long enough for the hooked surv to get rescued, fine. If not.... Sorry for your luck, friend.

Different gaming experiences, I guess.
I have had plenty of instances where I've played as "nicely and fair' as possible, and still managed to get flamed in post game chat.
Go hard and get the 4k? "Sweaty tryhard"
Play more casually? "LOL TRASHCAN"
Toxic nerds are gong to be toxic nerds regardless. Haven't noticed a huge reduction in bad behavior based on how "nice" I am.

The secret to enjoying perks like NOED is simple. Turn off chat so you don't have to read all of the salty salt McSaltords salt over using a salt producing perk of saltyness.
"You are all just Non Player Characters in this single player game I am here to enjoy"

2: Gate camping survivors. They're all safe. They know it. They feel entitled to make me chase them out. It's dumb. It's not worth it.
Your list pretty much sums up what I'd write.
However, on this quoted point, I don't give survivors that want to do that the satisfaction. If I know they're already at the gate and are just waiting to do the old "T-bag and dip" routine, I just sit in the middle of the map until they get bored and leave.

I started playing a few days before the event started. Found the game enjoyable, both killer and survivor side.
Played during the event for the first week. Didn't really care too much about the cosmetics so I didn't get super focused on filling vials. When playing survivor, I'd harvest a plant if I came across one while navigating around the map, and on killer I didn't hard focus on hooking people on the event hooks.
Basically, I didn't enjoy the event because it reduced the fun of the game. Reasons fall right into a lot of the main complaints people have about the multitude of just bad game play that resulted of people wanting to farm for vials.
I didn't want survivors to just run up to me and let me down/hook them.
I didn't want killers to go easy so I could find/farm plants.
Also noticed that the event brought out a lot of really strange "community etiquette rules" that ran against the grain of what it seems the game is supposed to be about.
"Sweaty try hard running *insert perk/add on here", doing this, doing that, omg why aren't you just farming"
