For right now no there's no plans to go back to that PTB version with Wesker given the further problems it caused.

What you might have been noticing on the PTB is just the PTB can often be smoother overall - quite a few people notice this in many PTB's, given less player numbers etc. Definitely there was nothing for the killers and input controls or netcode.

Except there's plenty of people talking about how there was something up with the PTB in terms of making other Killers feel generally better to play, (https://x.com/NuclearFungus/status/2092409815003975803?s=20) and video evidence of this too, although this clip is of Kaneki, I don't really think "PTB has less people therefore better connection" explains Kaneki being able to pull off things typically only doable on 30ms or lower in matches with 100ms ping.. (https://x.com/Cykosu/status/2085094946332369214?s=20). Not to mention this Live Update still has Wesker bugged and has other Killers (some mentioned in the first tweet I linked) losing mechanics of their power, such as Pyramid Head not being able to flick anymore. on top of the live release currently having stuttering issues and generally higher ping. and if this was a PTB thing, why was it so much better for this one, but not other PTBs? why were other PTBs servers not as noticeably better to play on previously? So many people noticed improvements in this PTB where they've never noticed in previous PTBs.

whilst there's no actual nerfs to the Ghoul, that issue you mentioned there is fixed under bug fixes. Right now the design team is monitoring to see if Ghoul does require changes, maybe the counterplay is not clear enough for some survivors etc things like the revault. We're not overly concerned with his kill rate right now, nor is his usage rate excessively high either. So it is something we need to be cautious about.

Thank you Mandy, we love you Mandy - Ghoul Mains

    No ghoul nerfs...?

Guys, cmon its been 9 months...hes still the most hated killer since skull-merchant got released.

We really have to bring out the "everyone dc's against this killer",

    until bhvr acts, dont we?.

I dont know what else we are supposed to do, feedback doesnt work, even content creators and fog-members said he is not healthy the way he is.

No one likes being injured for free with no effort, through the wall, while having more chase mechanics on top of it.

No one likes going against ghoul when other killers do more effort for less.

the bug fixes claim to fix the hit through walls thing, and getting injured shouldn't matter that much to you, its getting downed that should, learn cooldowns, learn how letting him injure you puts him in longer cooldowns more often, and stand still in pallets or next to windows and the game becomes far easier against him.

  • As of the most recent update, this has been fixed, thank you!

  • once again.. its peak! I believe making Kaneki's main playstyle being cut-offs is significantly more interesting than just pulling power out at every vault, or pallet. I do believe however that he should have an entire add-on pass, since a lot of his add-ons are just underwhelming or just.. perks recycled into add-ons, so I like that you included Coffee and Satchel base-kit because if they were to do an add-on pass and rework every one, it would feel a lot more freeing and customizable.

What really matters though is if the player base is gonna be mature enough to (theoretically) try against these changes instead of continuing to DC against Ghoul every match, despite the nerfs.

  • I would 100% be okay with all of these changes, It doesn't hurt the skillful play at all, arguably would make him feel MORE skillful to play as, I love it!
