    Keys are a type of Item Survivors can use in Dead by Daylight. The main use of Keys, with the notable exception of the Broken Key, is the ability to re-open the Hatch manually after it has been closed by the Killer. Additionally, with the use of Add-ons, Keys allow Survivors to read Auras of other Survivors and the Killer depending on the Add-ons one equips. The Skeleton Key was the original and only Key up to Patch 1.1.2: Patch 1.1.2 introduced 2 new Keys to the Game: The following list feature

    Spine Chill (Rework):

    • This perk activates when your aura is shown to the killer. While your aura is revealed, the perk's icon lights up and an auditory warning starts playing.

    • For every 12/10/8 seconds of your aura being revealed, gain a token, up to 2/3/4. Each token delays the revealed aura by 1 second.


    (Explanation: If you have 4 tokens and the killer uses an aura reading perk, he is still able to see your aura, but not where you are currently, but where you were 4 seconds ago. The aura reading also starts and ends later, so the duration of the aura read stays the same.)

    i honestly love this idea as it gives you time to react. It would also be intresting to see that for loud noises as it could assist in generator repair fails, failing a medical skill check while near a locker or passing the killer using a vault.

    It would also go nicely with distraction builds.
