    I'm also now getting this too when trying to update the game. But as I said yesterday, I have validated the files several times, this shouldn't be an issue. I also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

  • I found that running Steam as admin fixed the issue last night. I use Discord pretty much all the time, especially playing DBD so having it closed to run the game isn't really a work-around or solution for me.
