  • Yeah you're right, just so the devs can experience the core struggle and see for themselves. My whole post is about balancing the game which the person above you said perfectly. I agree with not buffing survivors because I'm fine with it as is, but sometimes playing against killers can feel completely unfair. You know I'm right. I'm not complaining about either side, I'm just asking for a middle ground.

I will share a replay I took of my first match today. You will see how for once a killer chased me instead of other survivors and what the result was. Went against an S tier killer, blight, who was a ttv and lost the game by chasing me. By no means am I any good, which correction, I thought I had 3k hours because that's what my friend told me, but after looking it up myself, I see I only have 1.3k. Point is, he dropped chase after I accidentally brought him near the last gen, which then made him tunnel out an easier target. I don't know about the other 2, but has he done that from the beginning, we would probably have lost. That is what happens most of the time.

Personally, I think antitunnel/anticamp would be a healthy addition to the game because it will give everyone a fair chance. I'm not talking about all the other extra gen rush stuff or what not they thought of adding. That's too much, but a way to make killers not abuse this aspect when they can already do so much so easily will make the game fun for everyone. Think of it as an incentive, rewarding both killers and survivors. I don't know how the devs can do this, but if they can, I'm all for it.

I would also like to add that yes swfs who actually know what they're doing coordinated can be unfair and is the sole reason why the devs been handing free candy to killers, but how common is that? Sometimes I play with friends whether a duo, a trio or even a quad, we still have a hard time because most of my friends are not used to being chased nor do they know every detail of what to do and when to do it. I'm the only one in my entire group of friends that can consistently time flashlight saves, chains, pallet saves, etc and have to constantly teach everyone about what to do. I also end up dying for them and then we end up losing the match most of the time.

Now, imagine solo que. Yes, out of like 10 games maybe you'll get lucky and get 1 maybe 2 people that know what to do, but from what I've seen, it is so rare. If anything, there should be some kind of learning curve because most people don't know the little details that can turn a match in which ever ways favor. This would be a wonderful addition to the game.

Anyway, enough yapping. I love this game and I would like to see it grow and not wither like most games I've played, so please, devs, if any of you read this, there's a lot here to take from.

Below is the video I saved. It's safe, unbiased and will show my perspective of actually getting chased for once and taking a load off my solo que teammates. I don't know any of these people and I have a ton of better clips that I may or may not post some day of amazing saves, actual 5 gen chases, funny stuff, builds I've tried with friends and all the amazing experiences I've had playing this lovely game which I hope will not falter.

Don't judge me, it was my first match of the day and I know I've made a few mistakes here and there because I am human like all of you are after all. Should probably have tried to save the person who got tunneled out, but it is what it is. Maybe next time. Cheers

  • Exactly my point, thank you friend.

  • After reading everyone's frustrations, clearly there's a problem here and you devs have a lot of work to do. Oh by the way, when are you going to fix deathslinger's aim animation cause it's still bugged. How long has this bug been in the game? Apparently you fixed it though, but no it's still there, alongside all the other problems.

All this said, don't really care anymore.

  • Most of you replying think I'm talking about solo que.. you're wrong. I just played a game with 1 friend and 2 solos against a huntress. Every time she saw me, she wouldn't chase. Of course she went for the weakest link, smart. Hooked them in basement, and proceeded to proxy camp. Where is the skill at? Is that fun? Guess what, we all died trying to save the solo.

My whole post if you read it entirely is about balance which this game continues to get worse and worse at. Yeah, I never played killer, but yet I can loop most of them. I don't need to play killer because it's too easy to play as one. I like the challenge of playing as a survivor much more cause that's who I am, but when most matches end up the way they do, clearly there's a problem.

All you killers down voting me know how much easier it is playing as a killer. My friend only plays survivor too and she tried killer against loopers and still 4ked. You have a way better chance at winning as killer, which is unfair.

You know why it's unbalanced? Because a killer main with 3k hours can probably 4k almost every match if not at least 3k, yet a 3k hours survivor main who made this post, after a whole night of 0 escapes no matter how hard I tried, failed. Also, most loops now are mindgameable because they are smaller. I personally don't mind it because there's more resources after your usual solo que doorknobs prethrow the 2 good pallets on the game.

If I wanted to escape every game, then I have to change the way I play and instead play greedy which sometimes I have no choice in doing, but the best part of the game is letting other newer players have a good experience, so yeah, I play altruistic as much as I can because I carry a flashlight and I try to be there for my team.

What annoys me is the amount of things killers have now which makes it easier for them to play. This shouldn't be that way if MMR exists. It should be skilled based. All these buffs are overboard. I brought this point in my last post. Why play Billy if you can just easily do what he does on Oni now? There is barely any balance anymore. Most survivor perks are garbage while killers just keep getting more and more buffed. Every dlc creates a more broken killer. I personally like looping a chucky or a xeno or a springtrap or even a ridiculous hit box kaneki hitting you behind an obstructable object. My team thinks otherwise though because those killers are too strong for them. Point case with the ridiculous krasue. We had one today which tunneled out an innocent dwit no matter how hard we tried to save him. Then we all died. Most broken killer ever released and then to tunnel with them? What a joke.

There's so many aspects in this game that is just irritating and quite frankly makes the game not fun even though we love to play it. As my friend said "and ex gf we can't resist to go back to." Yet I want nothing to do with my ex and I want these irritating aspects of the game to be noticed and worked upon because I do want to play this game, but it gets harder and harder the more complex it gets.

All I'm saying in a nutshell is there's barely any balance in dbd anymore. Something needs to be changed.

  • Lol vote me down, I don't care. I just spent 6 mil bp and guess how many purple flashlights I got? That's right, 0. Bagel. Nada. Got lots of useless maps, keys, vials, map offerings and garbage I will never be using. Why is that? Why should I spend bp on garbage I'll never use? But okay, vote me down, sure. This game. Sometimes I wonder why I even play it.

  • BHVR don't care about survivors imo. Just gutting everything left and right. 2v8 doesn't have any of the annoying killers so yes. I'll take a leg any day of the week compared to the garbage killers that exist nowadays. If this is how they think the game should be meant to be played then alright, don't care anymore.

  • Hey devs, you nerfing clown yet or what?

  • Perhaps some kind of delay would have been nice, but either way, if you can't even get to a loop in time, there's a big problem.

  • You seriously said practice more and learn to loop and mind game?! Are you kidding me right now? I have over 2.5k hours and I'm usually the one doing the looping my guy. How do you expect me to do anything when all a clown has to do is throw 1 bottle and smack you before you get to any kind of loop? Even race car build needs to be set up perfectly with end game hope to get a survivor to 119 when a clown drops 1.. just a single bottle and gets more haste than that? They can do it over and over again. Does that not sound broken to you or are you challenged? This should never have been allowed in the first place and I cannot believe it was even released yet alone still not nerfed. Ridiculous. By far the most broken killer as of yet. Hey let's nerf a cloud of smoke though. This game is hella killer sided.

  • Thank you so much for the info! I changed my buttons layout, should be much better now. Kind of ridiculous that action/interaction is defaulted to R1 on console lol

  • No, but for some reason if I did dc and quit game, when I load in again next time for some reason it counts the previous match as if you dced on purpose giving you the penalty. What's worse is it does take your items/offerings which is ridiculous.

  • Thanks I'll see if I can at least do that on console

  • Michonne is worse
