• After the Castle Vania update i have been hit with this error code every time i try to get into the game. The day before the update i was able to play and after it has kept me from playing. I've come to the conclusion that the update has interfered with my anti cheat. I tried others games that use the same anti cheat program such as Fortnite and it works without problem. I've attempted everything that was listed on reddit and steam forums. As well as the forums listed from the forums on Dead By Daylight support. I attempted to verify the games files multiple times, reinstall the game multiple times, and attempted to reinstall the anti cheat after deleting all traces of it on my computer. I also attempted to open the EAC setup directly from the games local files however the second i open it the program immediately closes. So i cant repair the game or that anti cheat through the actual program. My final solution was to do a factory reset on my computer as many people seemed to have a solution with that. I was annoyed and sad to say even after the reset it still wasn't allowing me to play the game. And besides downloading my NVidia drivers and windows 11 pro I downloaded steam and dead by daylight first with no fix. This is really annoying as i was hoping to play the new update with my girlfriend I've seen plenty of other people have this issue and i just want to see a fix or some acknowledgement of the error and that it will have a solution in the future.
