  • Hold W and you'll be fine, unless he gets the opportunity to jump scare you. Scratched mirror isn't so bad, since wraith changes, I haven't been having a good time against x-wraith.

  • I have seen stark differences. I either have clean games with no odd hits at all, survivor and killer, or games where it is all odd hits. Primarily noticing issues where the killers position isn't synced up to visual so it looks like they're further than they are and are getting hits from what looks like 10 ft away

I am a fan of the initiative to shake up the visuals of the game, but for me, the UI was a massive miss. The initial.minimialism of the first hud hit all the right marks, processing of information was quick and concise due to lack of flashy bells and whistles and optimal organization. I would suggest the frequently suggested adept icons and keeping everything non obtrusive in the bottom of the screen. When it is on the sides, it blocks your peripheral vision which can be very crucial (what if myers is in there?!?!). I also think we should allow the killer to see each survivors hook counts.

As for animations, the running, crawling and crouching animations are spot on for me. The standing up looks unnatural and intimidating, however. On top of this, the injured animations are honestly some of the least convincing things I've seen thus far in any game.

As well, the scoring is too out of the way to be usable. On top of this, current UI option is a huge hassle for streamers

  • Honestly, the only killer I really truly hate is freddy. I can juke a pyramid head, at least with spirits I have a 50% chance, deathslingers, I don't even know. I don't have any issues playing against them, maybe it's my experience playing as them?

But I feel like I'm playing several different killers against freddy. Pseudo wraith with his invisibility until he's within a certain range, hag with his teleports, clown with his dream snares. Not to mention hag needs you to trigger her ability and you take it or you don't, sure clown can get the gas out in front of you but that doesn't really make a difference unless you're a straight up w gamer. He has so much free pressure with dream and his add-ons are insane. I just don't get him.

  • Rank one huntress main here. I have played against plenty of coordinated immersed swf and plenty of coordinated gen rush swfs and have no problem staying in rank 1. Loops never last long enough to be an issue with mind games and hatchets. If a group outplays me and outloops and jukes my hatchets, I look at it as an opportunity to learn.

I wish I could say you are wrong, but I can't. I play both Survivor and Killer in equal measure and the percentage of Survivor jerks is far higher than that of the Killer jerks. It should be noted, however, that the vast majority of Players (Survivor and Killer) are polite and friendly both before and post-game. The problem is that we tend to remember the jerks more clearly, and it skews our perception like a fun-house mirror. Back in the 80s it was called the Geraldo Effect. If most of what you see/remember is negative, your context and perception gets twisted and standards lowered. Most games end with polite GG or nothing at all. Those fade into the background of our minds because we aren't keeping track of them or counting them. The jerks stand out and that we remember. Do you see how it works?

So yes, there are more poorly behaved Survivors than there are Killers, but it is also a 4v1 game so statistically you are more likely to encounter a jerk on the side with four people even if three of them are perfectly nice or silent. Do you see where I'm going with this? My own experience, roughly tracked and counted is that about one in thirty or so Killers is a jerk post game. Survivors are more like one in four or five.

I agree. I haven't been playing all that long, about 200 hours but I have 7000 hours on CSGO alone, among many other FPS shooters and multiplayer games and it is always the vocal minority. However, it feels as though DbDs vocal minority is barely a minority. I always get GG WP.from killers or nothing at all, but in my 200 hours of playing, mostly killer (deathslinger), I have received 2 games where I have even seen a GG. Always, gg ez, uninstall, git gud. Tbaggers, flashlight clickers, glitch abusers etc etc. Killers get a lot of flak for tunnelling, moris etc but never have I been angry about that stuff, all part of the game. While flashlights and crouching are, being an ass isn't. It's sad, I love the game. I just continue to try and be the light in a see of darkness. I always say ggwp and often say things like "great job with unhooks,' or "great looping."
