  • If you play the PTB Killer tutorial, the Entity talks to you, the Killer.

    I doubt that this is actually The Entity talking. The textboxes are titled "The Voices" and speak of Entity in third person. I think we rather have an altogether new character on our hands here.

    Maybe the remains of survivors that lost hope, now cheering on the killers, hoping for the demise of their former team mates? Or wishing to diminish their own suffering by pleasing the Entity? Who knows. I'm not even sure what to consider "canon" anymore with all the odd stuff they have introduced with the new store...
    The Voices might put the voice lines we get from Whispers into a new perspective though.

  • I've once stared down a Trapper with David King to the point where he would slowly back away from me whenever he saw me in the match :'D

    I'm 100% convinced David tried to deck the killers on more than one occasion, and, in all honestly, so would I. If you have been stuck in the fog for years you'll get used to the pain. Getting murdered will still hurt, dying will still be somewhat scary I'd assume, but what would keep me going on the long run would be spite. It's trying to break the rules, testing their limits. Also it gives you back a feeling of being somewhat "in control" in an otherwise absolutely hopeless situation. Though I agree, it would most probably not "change" anything, since the Entity will not allow serious harm to come towards its killers, it would be a form of protest.

  • I too tried to decipher it back in 2017 through checking for common ciphers like Caesar and Vigenère, though to no avail. Someone pointed out to me that it looked similar to R'lyehian/Cthuvian, the language invented by Lovecraft for his short stories, though a translator doesn't yield any results. I pinged Dave Richard about it on Twitter back then, this was his answer:

    I am also highly skeptical of translating anything "back" between languages, that's... really not how language works. Google translate is a poor source of translation even with more common languages
