For people that play killer have you ever had games where you have no intent of tunneling but there's just one survivor that's just very obviously worse than the other three?

Never hides effectively, doesn't last in chase has very little game sense and does things like just stands at hook too long after being unhooked while the unhooker is long gone?

What do you do in these situations? It seems like if it's not a SWF the team never takes chase for these types of people and you know you could get them dead in record time if you wanted to but it seems mean especially now with anni going on? Lately on death hook if I down them I'll slug them once and give them one more chance but it tends not to make a difference and they still wind up dying first no matter what. I wanna play my role and actually kill but it seems like the matchmaker just doesn't work for one person in every lobby and it feels bad.

So typically what I'd do is hook them twice then show a little mercy. Now if it's blatantly obvious they watched a certain someone's "Bullying Comp" and brought that kind of attitude into the match yeah I'm putting them 6 feet under in the first three minutes. Genuinely inexperienced survivors I'll be nicer to because having a fun interaction at the gate with a Killer and getting out can make someone's day..... despite when the other survivors try to flame me for "giving them a free win".

No. "Not running something" should never be considered a counter. Nobody has the clairvoyance to GUESS when someone is going to run something to change their build. Counters should always be in game, never out of game. And like I've said: the game is designed around items being brought, so "not running something" should not be the "perfect counter."

The irony of the clairvoyance comment. Literally no one knows what anyone is running unless is it's a SWF. like all the Killer knows is you have an item. Whether it's good or bad item is completely only known to you.

As a someone who plays both side and top MMR on both I genuinely think this game is not playable as a survivor anymore (at least If you don't play as squad). The killers I'm facing with something beyond sweaty&toxic it's far beyond definable.

The doctor I played against today face camped 2 people (a.k.a shocking the hook continually without increasing the camping bar) until survivor dies after that he slugged other two to death going back and forth as he got over them for no reason... This is only one game, my all survivor games are like this, extremely tryhard tunneling with p100 nurses/blights like there is money prize on the game or face camp with killers who still have ability to do it.

Playing as a survivor is nothing but depressing and sad especially if you play solo or duo. I don't know if it's about my region but DBD I play is literally something different than from the DBD played by popular DBD content creators. It feels like the killers I'm playing against are in the competition of making the match as miserable as possible for the survivors for no reason.

I love DBD but it's so sad I can't even play one proper enjoyable match with my friend without getting left on the ground for 5 minutes or getting tunneled by P100 nurse. Additionally they insult survivors in end game chat after all things they did and reports literally do nothing... These all things I wrote happen almost every match even though I don't do the slightest disrespectful thing towards to killer.

I have a hidden cheat code that'll make you all enjoy DBD a bit more eventually.Play something else for once. I take long breaks from games like DBD, Destiny 2, and other live services. If you keep playing the same thing over and over you're gonna get burnt out. For how much he was memed on Cote was right all those years ago. Take a break and try Civ 6.

First off why does the killer have so much info at the lobby screen. Surv have none. Surv have to find everything out in game. That the way it should be for both sides. Killers should not be able to switch to light born because they see flashlights in the lobby. Secondly I had three games back to back where I was tunneled for 5 gens not saying I shouldn't of need I was running an obnoxious build that deserves it. Not a slight against the killer but I'm on hook struggle no one else has been hooked and I get left twice and a screwed up 3 MAN SAVE on the last how as P30 plus survivors can't make a clean save with 3 people. Or understand that if you just trade that gives 2 more muns for us to heal and come get you. Please learn the main aspects of the game

So I think I have some decent points for this discussion that I'll break into different pieces.

Items: aren't as pivotal to games as they used to be. They aren't their old versions of basically being additional perks. My behavior as a Killer isn't modified too much by items being used in a match because I'm always picking up looking at a wall cause I want to admire the brickwork.

Menu Perks: allowing everyone to see everyone's perks in a menu would both hurt the game and be extremely annoying. It'd be annoying cause lobbies would turn into Musical Perks. It'd be unfun for two factors. One, killers have 4 perks while survivors have 16 between them all. Hard countering an entire perk setup is much easier for survivors. Two, most Killer perks are more in terms of traps set to be sprung. If everyone knows you have Devour Hope before the game start it's a useless perk.

Items vs addon trade: so the most comparable thing to Items are Add-ons. This still is a massive power boost for survivors. If I know what add-ons you have I know which Killer you are which means I can hand select a perk set to counter your entire existence. If I see Shape add-ons in the menu myself and every other survivor are putting on Spine Chill pre game and basically making that man cry as he gets out of tier 1 after 5 gens.

I also think it'd probably be more work to remove items from the character models in the menus so I highly doubt the Devs would ever consider it.

To both killer and survivors, and those of us that play both. (Everyone should play both at some point though.)

I would say this more from a killers perspective, and at all ranks (although with MM as it is, rank is kind of meaningless rn)

But how often do you 4k, or escape, and feel that you earned it? I would probably say I 3 or 4k 80% of games. However I rarely feel like they are close games, or that were "fun for both sides"

At red ranks, there is normally at least 1 survivor that dosnt know how to loop and use pallets properly, don't know how to run gyms and have no clue what pallets are safe or unsafe and most will make some sort of mistakes. This dosnt feel rewarding to win.

(Ranging from slip ups getting me a hit, to just being complete potatoes) If I was to go back over every kill I have (And ngl, its in the thousands.) most are directly down to the survivors doing the wrong thing.

In a game where survivors don't make mistakes, I lose, almost 100% of the time.

If a game ends in a 2k (the stated aim) it feels like a loss, gens get done, little pressure is applied, and the game is in the survivors hand. The games I win, often feel like im just steamrolling.

Close games do happen, but t least in my experience, things are such feast or famine, that the overall global stats must be skewed so heavily by the majority of bad survivor players.

    Anyone else feel this way?

Honestly not often. Been playing 2+ years and my older brother was watching me just constantly cut survivors off and predict their movements. His words " are ya just gonna keep reading her like a book?". Honestly pipping past green ranks should be harder. I'm currently a purple rank survivor and quickly gaining rank.
