Gates not getting opened, survivors giving up, killers sweating like their mom's lives are on the line. What is the fun aspect here?! What i can get tunneled at 5 gens and then humped for 4 minutes oh great. Seriously I'm getting so sick of this game and if the devs think I'm buying ######### DLC and outfits they can think again!

Honestly, NOBODY is forcing you to play Dead By Daylight if you don't think the game meets your expectations or is no longer fun. I just don't understand why there is so much hate directed at killers. Yes, it can be boring to be tunneled, camped, etc., but is it really worth spending so much energy getting mad about something so insignificant? After all, it's just a game and there will always be situations that don't go your way.

To malloymk: How are killers actually "toxic"? I think the word "toxic" is used way too much and often completely wrong. In my experience, it's almost always survivors who start a discussion in the in-game chat where they threaten or bad behavior to other players because they don't like their playstyle. People have different ways of playing, and there must be room for that too. It's about having fun, and sometimes you just have to accept that others play differently than you do. :)

There is not DOUBT that there is an abundant amount of people killing themselves on their first hook, EG attempting all 3 escapes THEN not doing the skill checks, this also completely avoids the leave suspensions by wasting about 2 minutes, at most. So, I suggest this:
An account has 2 or 3 tokens, 1 token is consumed upon loading into the match, Having no tokens wont allow you to queue up for a match. You gain 1 token every 5 minutes, including while in-game. But when you have max tokens, the next token can be claimed in half the time. For example, when you queue up into a match with 2 tokens (Assuming 2 is max), upon consuming the token when loading in, it will only take 2.5 minutes to get back that token, so then when you get out you will have 2 tokens again. Abandoning a match will not include the time spent from that match as contribution to obtaining your next token.

Realistically, to anyone who doesnt kill themselves on hook will not at all notice this feature.

That sounds like a really good idea! Maybe they should also consider bringing back the old system where a survivor who chooses to DC gets a 24 hour cooldown. It could help reduce the number of disconnects and create a fairer experience for both killers and other survivors trying to play the game to the end. If people know there is a consequence to DC, they might think twice before choosing that option. It can both help to reduce frustrations and make the gaming experience better for everyone. An improved anti-leave feature along with that cooldown could really make a difference! :)

Hey team, if you haven't seen it here then it is all over tiktok. The new updates has caused a major slugging problem and it is literally sucking all the fun out of dbd. As a killer I'm not keen on getting kills this way, and as a survivor this is such a dumb end to what could be really good sessions.

Please review, adapt and listen to the chatter - do something about the slugging problem.

Also, killer hitboxes are a joke - there's enough proof on TikTok in slo-mo, to warrant nerfing the size of them.

This slugging, camping and face camping thing is really a hot debate, especially when people post videos on TikTok complaining about being treated that way. I understand that it can be frustrating, but I honestly think people forget what it's like to play as a killer and constantly have to deal with provocations from survivors. For example, I was playing as The Shape yesterday and there were several survivors who both t-bagged and blinded me repeatedly. And the funny thing is that afterwards they complained about me tunneling and camping - which made me laugh because they had created the situation all by themselves. If they don't like my playstyle, then they always have the option to DC. I don't force anyone to play against me.

And speaking of hitboxes, it's really something that could use an update. As a survivor, I have also experienced being hit, even though I was clearly a few meters away from the killer. So there are definitely improvements that could be made, but making it a war between survivors and killers doesn't help anyone. The TikTok videos, where people upload clips of their "unfair" experiences, only give a one-sided picture. Mostly it's just butthurt and angry people who don't show the full context. We have to remember that this is a game and everyone has different ways of playing. It's impossible to please everyone, so maybe we should focus less on the TikTok drama and more on having fun in the game itself. :)

  • I don't really see any major problem with a killer choosing to kill the last survivor - after all, it's part of the game. But I have to admit that I can follow ad19970's point. The new system might make more killers want to go for the last mori, and it might lead them to go for a 4k, which can be quite frustrating to play against. When you, as a survivor, are the last one left and are slugged just so the killer can have a mori, it can feel a bit boring and unfair. It's not necessarily a huge problem, but it can definitely create a less good experience for those who sit and wait to be mori'ed instead of getting a chance to fight until the last minute. So I can understand why some players are unhappy that it may encourage more slugging and a focus on morris.
