Glad to see people are on the same page.
The idea is that, by censoring to such a degree you create a false reality. Life is very tough and cruel. At the ripe age of 18 i am sure some of us, if not most, have seen and experienced many a things from terrible to wonderful. As agreed, a game is a place to relax and unwind. Though, if someone decides to insult i will gladly smile and report them. Heck, i wouldn't mind a bit of banter. Words could never harm me. It's only a game. All within reason, hence 'banter'. Either via screenshots or videos. The idea of an optional filter for people who are more 'sensitive' is a brilliant idea. Well done #Rogue11. Forcing people who are not so easily offended to conform to a certain regulation or a political agenda when it goes against the age logic seems a bit silly. Why should i have to tape my mouth shut because others can't? This is like when we were in primary school. I bring back this example with the upmost respect. If 1 persons has done something bad, why would the whole class have to suffer??
As a user has stated, if it's an 18+ game and kids play, well then, welcome to the adults world. With all respect to BHVR and my fellow DBD members, i am not responsible in an 18+ game that little kids feel offended. That is obnoxious to even consider.
That's like saying you entered a pub and heard countless people swear. Yet, what were you doing in the pub in the first place if you are under 18?
I hope that made sense.
I wonder, as i have not been around since its inception. Is this a political decision or has this been around since its rising?
These are very philosophical questions and answers put by us and I hope people or BHVR could consider this as a future option.
Apply strict rules for those whom break the standards under the regulations and give people options.

I'm pretty new to this but i understand the mechanics and have read a lot on the wiki.
Forgive me for saying but I wanted to DC so badly just now. Just had a Speed hacker by the name of 'ZOMBEANO_' . Dude was speeding in front of me. I caught the whole lobby but him. The only way was at the end when they were doing the gate. I had checked at the end each persons perks and the ones with 'speed' perks were still slower than this user. Alas, a killer is faster. A killer should never have a chase going on for 30sec-1min+. This goes against the programming of the game. No perk by this user could outlast me or run at such speeds. There was one with haste when i carry a body but i had no body on my shoulders.
Even when blinking to them, as nurse, they were somehow in front of me. I baited them and just kept a straight line. They were still zooming by each second passing, crazy.
They need to remove the Dc penalty. In my humble opinion i should not have to be forced to endure such a match whilst giving the pleasure to hackers. Even if i pushed through and great, i won, it was very, very upsetting to see this. I had realised within the first 15secs of the run that what was happening was impossible.
That's my personal opinion. -
Funny you should say this, as stated by numerous people here and in the steam forums, yesterday i had encountered a cheating nurse also.
I spent last night and this morning reading about this. Seems on Steam they require something called an SSL but on other platforms its 'easy as pie' for them to abuse their cheats. I had a match 2 days ago where 4 people, correct me if i'm wrong as i am new to this game, had been self healing constantly. What i am saying is that once i had downed them they auto revived back up instantly within a few seconds. I had searched and found said perk can only be used 1x per match. If i have my information wrong do forgive my ignorance. It was only after reading the perk that I had realised what I had witnessed.
What i find even more baffling is that without actually recording, as it seems has to be a step of the process, the report isn't taken very seriously. I personally do not wish to keep running obs and other recording platforms every time i play this game. I wish just to relax. Surely they can implement a SB system. Enough reports, well, we will investigate your account. Give it a couple days max. Better yet, maybe there can be a system where the match is tracked or something and they can review the gameplay. I am aware all i state is effort but to say more or less ' We need video evidence on top of a report' is kind of silly, forgive my phrasing, as at least 50% of people will simply not be asked for the sake of inconvenience or pc power, right? -
I strongly agree with your dicussion. I for one do not follow 'META', I subject each character to my own playstyle and find mixing and matching becomes far more effective. Especially when catering to ones style.
