I'm primarily a survivor main, and I think that affects how I prefer to play killer. I always keep in mind that there are four other people on the other side of the screen who also want to enjoy the game. Because of that, I’ve developed a personal rule of thumb.

Since the matchmaking system often puts me up against weaker or average players (with some exceptions), I try to limit myself to around 8 hook states per match. When I go up against stronger teams, I play more seriously — but even then, if I manage to dominate, I usually give them a chance to escape.

This approach doesn't hurt my progression at all — by the time reset rolls around, I’m red rank on both roles.

Because I play on console and can’t read post-game chat, I’d love to hear what other players think of this playstyle.

P.S. I’m not trying to convince anyone to play this way — just sharing my perspective.

I like to have a "final girl" so if im not playing around a 2 hooking everyone there's at least always a final survivor that gets to escape alone. Usually its the person who's outfit i like the most or i really enjoyed the gameplay, or if they were left on hook too long with no other objective getting completed. I have end game chat so I get a lot of mixed reactions to the gameplay. Its usually appreciated but you get the occasional toxic player who talks crap and calls you a bad killer because you couldn't get them or any variation of your gameplay was bad

  • How do you know how many points you have?

As many correctly predicted, this thing is already a complete disaster. This problem had very simple, obvious solutions, but someone(s) either way overthought this or didn’t think through it at all, and now survivor players (already at a major deficit in the queues) who are trying to play normally have a new miserable issue to deal with.

Please BHVR - admit that you screwed up, kill switch this now, take some time and feedback, and make sure the solution is reasonable before putting it live again.

Had an issue with this yesterday. The killer let the other survivor go so she could show where the final survivor was and the final survivor couldn't do gens because they were working together
