  • I've been really enjoying changing things up now that I don't care about so much about rank.

Don't get me wrong... I'm still interested in solo ranking up to 2, then 1 - but it's amazing what cultivating a healthy mindset does for this game and it's fun-factor. Sure, I could run the meta perks and prolly get to rank 1 rather soonish - but then I feel like it's all in the perks and I'd be too afraid of wanting to try different perks to outplay the killer... and where's the fun in that?

For me, that's not true freedom in this game. That's more like being held hostage by an idea that the perks got you to that rank and not your own skill.

So yeah, personally I've been having a lot of fun trying out new builds, for example the Archive challenges brought attention to Resilience and Spine Chill - so I've been running Spine Chill, Resilience, Lithe and Dance With Me recently, which is loooooooads of fun - and keeps the game fresh.

Are there moments I wish I had BT or DS? Sure. But ooooh boy the feeling of accomplishment after getting everyone out alive without BT or DS is even more worth it.

    Thanks for sharing this!

This'll make it easier to explain why Cheryl's likeness (as well as Quentin's and Laurie's) don't exactly hit the mark:

Notice how when I overlay the OG Cheryl model over the DBD one - there's a visible outline around the face of the DBD model? This shows that the head structure of the recreated Cheryl model isn't as accurate as it could be... which in turn makes the DBD model look quite a bit off. Now, this in turn with the slightly inaccurate plotting of facial features (lip size, eye size and hair volume) completely changes the likeness of the character.

I give major props to the 3D artists that worked on Nancy and Schtev - these licensed char models were done wonderfully well and y'all managed to capture not only the likeness of the character's - but also in the way that they hold themselves.

But yeah, just sharing some knowledge, maybe this'll help someone

(I'm an illustrator who specializes in character pin-ups. Nailing character likeness is something I pride myself on)

  • Yeah I completely agree, a community poll would be great too

Also, although they're quite nice skins on the surface - making the designs go against the lore of the character (mainly the Claudette skin) is unfortunate.
