You kind of alluded to the fact that they were coming out together though.
"Hallowed blight is coming out with the rift"
"The rift is coming out in the mid chapter update"

Why wouldn't we think that the mid chapter patch was going to be om the 22nd? I'm not really all that annoyed at the delay, but obviously you guys need to communicate a whole hell of a lot better if everyone is clearly thinking everything is coming out on the 22nd.
There were plenty of posts stating this that any one of you could have stepped in and corrected.
It's weird cause they tried to play a little bit of a shell game with the whole Mid-chapter update. And their announcement made it seem like they thought that they hadn't already confirmed that the Blight Event was connected to the Rift.
Well we didn't announce the date of the Mid-chapter update so why are you all worried about that .... But it was clearly tied to the Event because of the Rift.. And the Event's dates were confirmed! So it's like they were pretending that they were separate even though it was clear to anybody who had been paying attention that they weren't.
I'd almost say it was a CYA tactic but if so it was a poor one cause it didn't take into account all the info that we all already knew.
I get that there might be legal technicalities where since there was never a technical mid-chapter patch release date announcement that they couldn't confirm a date.
But it's like super Bizzaro to pretend that they are completely separate when they clearly aren't. It's a bunch of corporate double speak that makes no sense in context.

I'm not referring to the bloodhunt. They did announce the Halloween Event, and announced a date, and then cancel less than 24 hours from that time.
Mismanagement of this scale would be answered with mass firing in any other industry, and potentially class action lawsuits with major settlements.
And seeing as DbD was created in part using the Canada Media Fund, going to start lodging complaints, because enough is enough.
Fair enough, though the quoted post in your prior post was about the Blood Hunt not the Blight event and that's why I brought it up.

They never announced the Blood Hunt that idea was based on people data mining when the PTB came out. So no there was never an actual official announcement of a Blood Hunt. And since they never officially announced it they can't officially cancel/deny/confirm anything.
BUT ... Big But... It seems highly unlikely that they didn't create the banner that was mined, and then not actually intended to run a Blood Hunt over the Halloween weekend. Originally anyways... Who knows now what they intend to do.

Honestly it seems really bizarre to tie the Withering Blight event to the release of the Archives so strongly. Then say... Well we never said exactly when we'd release the Mid-Chapter patch you all just assumed that. Despite the Blight event having clear dates announced.
As if tying some of the core mechanics of the Blight directly to the Archives doesn't clearly make the Event tied to the Mid-chapter patch.
A separate release of the Blight event/Mid-chapter patch was clearly not something that was ever going to happen they are too intrinsically tied to one another. I can't even fathom why anybody would be confused as to why if we aren't getting one we aren't getting the other.
Though the strange idea seems to not be helped by Bhvr treating them like they are completely separate things.
