  • Anyway i'd say keypoints to start gathering clues would be
1 items descriptions, Wiki notes even
    2 full explorarion of maps,
    3 charachters bio
    4 possible secret prompts
    5 devs hints

And the starting questions should be
    1 where (the realm)
    2 What (are we doing)
3 Who (is shaping the realm)
4 why (these guys were chosen)
    5 when (timeline)

We should start with questioning everything
We thought correct, so to give us a solid start, and at the point proceed with different theories til One After the other is proven wrong
  • I think we should start with a steam group, easier that way to post stuff with screenshots
And TheBretzel needs to be there
  • So, i finally registered in the forum so i could be able to provide my opinions, which are the followings
    1) Moris are Mercy kills, at least those of some killers
i'd want to take in account 3 groups of killers
    a) The Psycho ones
    b) The Forced ones
    c) The Mad ones

I'd sat we could put in category a) the ones that truly enjoy killing, at least for now, which are
1 The Shape, it fuels him to take others lives
2 The Clown, finger fetish says it all
3 The Nightmare, not the killing in itself, but the chase
4 The Pig, the survivors do not deserve to live
These guys Mori are a way to dispose of you in a personal way, for reasons of
    1 enjoying the survivor death
2 enjoying the "gift" he takes
3,4 to move on to the next prey

In category b we find a different motivation= torture, we can put here
1 The Trapper, Evan didn't torture himself with metal scraps
2 The Nurse, Sally is forced to be suffocated 100% of the time she lives, that's not pretty, and her power makes her suffer too, she was probably the one to struggle the most from the Entity's grasp, which was rewarded with happy torture times

Now these guys, why do they Mori you?
Let's say everytime you die to the Entity you lose a bit of yourself
yet, if a killer kills you by his hand, that shouldn't happen, yet they have to keep it brutal and can't do it many times, else the Entity will fight back
so Moris become mercy, brutal kills, that let you "survive" the trial without losing a bit of your own soul

now we have the most controversial category, c, that i divide in 2 subgroups, c1 and c2

c1 is defined by killers that were mad before their arrival in the Entity's Realm
1 The Hillbilly, poor chap wasn't even treated as a human being
2 The Huntress, she doesnt seem to understand what humanity is, she is a child in a grown, mature and muscular body that lives like a feral
3 The Cannibal, this one is a child too, not a feral one, but one that wants to protect those he cares about from the evil ones, strumentalized from his family, those evil ones are whoever cross his lonely sight

Now, defining these ones "human" is hardly fair to humanity, their Moris are dictated from impulses and emotions, they probably don't even understand what's going on

In c2 we find the killers that went throught phase b and lost their personalities in the process
1 The Hag, Lisa is starving, like, really starving, and i don't see the Entity as the generous kind, so the motivation of brief pleasure from survivors flesh is the only thing that matters for her now
2 The Doctor, now that is a big mistery
first of all, Carter got tortured by the Entity yes, but he keeps doing his research in the fog, he is even able to manipulate it, he's probably the smartest of the bunch. but is Carter "just" Carter?
Otto Stamper, probably Carter's father figure, was found with a bunch of electrodes inserted in his (quote from the wiki) "still working, but annihilated brain"
Otto teached Carter that "information is everything and knowledge is power", the 2 were in charge of a certain project, "Project Awakening"
now, what is Otto's brain was either swapped (which i don't believe to be the case) or "inserted" into Carter's
i mean, 2 brains are better at gaining information and knowledge, the electrodes may have been used to make the 2 guys brains communicate and "transfer" Otto's consciousness into Carter's mind
    Now, what is Project Awakening?
how do we describe the Entity's Realm? Nightmarish
a Nightmare is a bad dream yes, but still a dream
now let's sum together, Doc's abiity to manipulate the fog and his interest the acquistion of knowledge
Doc may be the only killer that voluntarily entered the fog, his intentions discovered by the entity, were reprimanded with torture, or so it seems, maybe he's still trying to find knowledge through madness
Carter's spark may as well be a sort of neural conduct between the killer and survivor mind, that's why he fries his victims, for research.

Now, there is someone that doesn't exactly fit in the categories, the Wraith
we can't really see signs of torture, his mind is seemingly gone, and he didnt seem like a bad chap to be honest, quite the opposite
yet the Entity even gifted him a bell
his skin is grey, you might as well say, "without light", just like the kind of someone that traversed the spirit world would have
i think he turned towards the Entity not because of torture or basic ill intents, but to worship.
his Mori is probably the most appassionate one, he really wants the survivor's dead for the all loving Dark Entity

now, moving on to theory number 2
A way to escape the realm

so, as was pointed out, light is a big no-no, k?
there is one thing that puzzled many
a circuit box, not reachable, in the heights
now, what if it was somehow being able to be powered between the combination of a well pointed light to open it's grid, and some sort of "electricity"

alright, that's all from me, enough wall of text for today
    Cya in the fog
