I wonder if people think I'm cheating when I run Wiretap + Repressed Alliance on gens next to walls, it works pretty well when it does work but it's not always reliable.

Empathy, Open Handed, Kindred, Spine Chill.

    Killer: "Stop wall hacking loser"

Irony is my build isnt even any good, but I am admittedly low mmr and it works very well there in solo Qs.

  • "Survivors who never do pinhead boxes, sadako tv's, alarm clocks, clean plague, clean hex totems, etc": OMFG NERF THIS, ITS TOO STRONG ######### DEVS

  • Should make all survivors stuck to the ground until they lose their first health state. After that, healing back to uninjured by any means immediately kills them. Its just so toxic for survivors to escape. Infinite exposed should be base kit. Terror radius heartbeat should be removed from the game. Spine Chill radius should be reduced to 1m.

    Am I foruming right guys???

  • Max mmr is unattainable. Its been repeatedly stated by the devs. You literally have to play (and beat) hundreds of matches in a row of people equal or greater than you to gain mmr past a certain point. One loss will literally negate 100s of wins.

  • Worst part of is it makes people believe something in the game is too powerful or too weak, etc.. The game right now is literally being "balanced" around the use of subtle hacks.

  • Readying up in the lobby as either role should just give you an automatic win with full iridescent medals, 50k base blood points and the max possible mmr increase.. along with completing any challenge/ritual you got.

  • 90% of people that get "tunneled" will run like 10 meters after their unhook and crouch in a bush, with cries of pain heard from a mile away.

  • Issue right now tho are subtle hackers rolling around with 50% increased repair speeds, 10% running speed, unlimited toolbox use (including BNP uses), etc... Normally working hacks are expensive paid programs that only work on PC and Android, but right now there is a free way to do it all on those platforms as well as any platform that allows Microsoft Edge to run while the game is running.

Camping, or sitting near the hook merely to wait for action to occur, is too rewarded for the effort put in. Similarly hard tunneling off of hook, or chasing the survivor who was just rescued, ignoring others even when they try to bodyblock, is also too rewarded for the effort put in. I would prefer those to be high risk high reward strategies, rather than some of the more optimal with a low to medium risk (perk dependent) high reward. I don't have a problem when the reward matches the risk, but they are grossly disproportionate at the moment. I also don't have a problem when those people take a risk by tapping a gen or a totem after unhook, telling the Killer they are fair game once again. Personally I wouldn't consider healing yourself to be a conspicuous action until the heal is completed. Killers have plenty of flexibility in how to down survivors, and restricting the worst case scenarios, or rebalancing the risk reward structure, wouldn't be negative at all.

I personally consider an early 1st kill when the Survivor dies as a result of 5 hook actions or fewer, and an early 2nd kill at 6 hook actions or fewer. While there also can be fair early kills, like the above example of tapping a gen immediately after unhook, most of them are unfair. When an early kill is completed it typically snowballs the game into a Killer victory. When the Killer uses those low risk high reward strategies they didn't win in a skilled manner. (See facecamping Bubba perked out for it.) When skill is the primary vector from which Killers get kills, then BHVR can adjust Killers further to reach their desired 60% kill rate. Basically, cheesy methods to artificially inflate kill counts are keeping Killers from getting the buffs they deserve. If those abuse cases were removed, then the bad Killers who rely on that will have more accurate kill counts. Once the numbers are recalculated, then BHVR can look into another 6.1.0 styled patch that would further help Killers.

Curtailing abuse cases already happens with the mechanics. When a Survivor is in chase they can only vault a window 3 times. This is to prevent the abuse case of a god-tier loop. Similarly, if we get camp/tunnel/early kill curtailing mechanics then it will result in a net positive in the long run. If you want to say Killers should have the flexibility in how they play with these type of abusive mechanics, then I would expect you to stay consistent in that opinion and allow Survivors infinite window vaults in chase. That way all players can have flexibility in how the play to win. Survivors prevented from abusing windows can only vault three times, just as an anti-tunnel mechanic might be something like Spirit styled invisibility+collision loss for 10s after the unhook (ended short on conspicuous actions). That way if the Killer wants to tunnel they have to actually seek out the Survivor again, and aren't just gifted the rescued Survivor on a silver platter.

Overall my message is I want the reward to be proportionate to the risk. I also want weaker Killers to be buffed to compete better against the best Survivors or even closer to their fellow Killers, and people padding the stats with low risk high reward strategies are preventing that from happening. Feel free to let people camp and tunnel, just have it be sub-optimal and poorly rewarded forms of gameplay. Reward interaction with everyone, instead of only 1 or 2.

By your logic, gen repairs and healing others should only be possible by 1 survivor at a time. Reward interaction with the whole map.

  • That entire tome is bugged af. There are three in it I cannot complete (this is one of them) and I am only on page 2. It sucks because I am relatively new and am weary of spending money on DLCs due to bugs and hacks. Tome 4, afaik, is the only one that has challenges requiring just base game characters.

  • Thank for this post. After like 20 matches trying to do this, I thought I was just really bad and was about to literally uninstall the game.

I'd say about 90% of the games I play I'm playing Survivor, and even still I think the survivors are given way too many second chances. To balance it out the killer needs a meta-ish perk at base kit also imo

Let killers have 5 or 6 perk slots and 3 item slots.

  • It already is for PC players ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

I've never understood why the killer cant pickup a downed survivor thats being healed, nor can they kick a gen survivors are on

Should be able to kick a gen with survs on it, and if they dont stop repairing then the explosion downs them.

  • Worst is when ppl are constantly running DH but never actually land it, ever. Or they roll with Left Behind but are so bad at looping or hiding that they are always the first to die. There needs to be an intermediate way to play where you can practice stuff instead of just using what youtube tells you to. Something like Custom mode with matchmaking.

  • Bro, my keyboard is the biggest is the world. Come at me.

  • Solo queue is only bad because of rituals/challenges. People ignore the objectives and focus on their own tasks. If they complete them (or fail them) and get hooked, the usually suicide and requeue. SWF groups arent going to do this.

  • Funny how mere hours after I posted this thread, they drop a huge announcement about anti hacking. LOLOLOLOL

  • Anonymous mode doesnt hide names on the score screen though, and that is the only place you would see the killer's name. Pretty sure it is in fact tunneling bots.

  • Until they can curb the hacking, they need to offer the role incentives when crossplay is off. Also have ppl who have it turned on, but are on your platform be able to be matched with you. Before the incentives, I only played with it off and had zero issues with queue times (xbox).

  • The best balance change they could ever do is make the game server based and eliminate 95% of all hacking. Until then, none of these matter. Yall complain over peanuts. Doesnt matter how good or how bad a mechanic is when 1 in 5 matches has a hacker.
