  • I'm a fake red rank survivor. Fake as hell. I can't loop, I get tunneled easily, etc etc. The only thing I'm good at is holding RB and hitting skill checks. 600 hours in, which is not a lot by most people's standards, and I'm an absolute potato. If you're a killer in red, or hell even purple, with two brain cells to rub together, you'll absolutely murder me.

    Trust me when I say that I'm not alone. Most of the randoms my wife and I group with in our two man SWF are also potatoes. Ranks on the survivor side mean absolutely nothing. Absolutely. Nothing. It just means you play a lot.

    I wager that if BHVR showed leaderboards, or made available kill and survive stats, I'd be close to about a 10-20% survival rate. And this is still true after the Ruin nerf.


    And that is the crux of the issue. It is far too easy to rank up as a survivor, very hard to rank up as a killer consistently, and with the ranks only resetting down one grade now it's going to extrapolate.

  • Good. Greats are hard as hell to hit on console if your skill checks are lagging which they usually are.

  • I play because my wife loves the game and wants me to play with her. That's about the only reason.

    I'm a red rank survivor main, but honestly I'm horrible at this game, and that's just the way it is. Me bad + horrible hit latency + horrible console optimization and you have a rough time.

    I will say that the 1 or 2/10 games that are good or close are fun, but most of the time I'm curb stomped.

    If you see my SWF pop in don't worry. The only one that's pretty decent is my wife. The rest of us are easy claps.

  • My wife is going to. I'm not. I made it to I think level 50 playing five to six hours a day four times a week. Did almost every survivor challenge all the way to the end and a few killer ones.

    The $10 doesn't bother me too much, and some of the cosmetics were nice, but with the grind per level so high I don't feel like it's worth it unless you no life it. Not for a working man.
