Its unfortunate that the Devs can't see that this issue also affects survivors. The decision, I have no doubt, to set things up this way was meant to put the screws to killers, because we know the devs don't play killer at all. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your view, it actually hurts survivors too. This setup empowers killers like Xenomorph, who's killer spawn items are meant to counterplay him. Same with Lich, and even Pig. Imagine that, they BUFFED Pig.
I take their original affirmation of this not being a bug as a sign these devs probably don't have more than a few years left in them. They can't think ahead, they're so bent on making changes to hurt killers like making basically all survivor offerings hidden because THEY suck at their own game. They don't understand that making things more miserable and worse for killers is what is going to kill their game.
