No, I run into a lot of people who don't enjoy playing against him or playing as him. I understand my biases well. My statements stand.
You dont seem to understand them well enough then lmao.

literally yes, I have heard thousands of people's opinions, I quite literally have interacted with that many
It's pretty crazy then that you meet so few people who differ on billy then. Must be pretty jarring to come across more than one person too.
I think if we take a minute perceive even beyond that and think about hours that other people have and the amount of people they interact with as well we can come to an even wackier conclusion that peoples opinion vary beyond to our select groups. But then again the world seems to revolve around your twitch chat so maybe not KEKW.
For the record I have quite a few thousand hours, friends with quite a few as well and not everyone is head over heels over the stagnant gameplay that is flick billy. Not to mention this opinion is across the board from people with <100 to friends with +5000. But who knows clearly it's just a one sided perception that "everyone loves billy"

Source is actually me basically being an oft visited stream by a lot of VERY high hour players, and most of them can't play billy at all. You actually do start to know most people up there once you put around 6000+ hours total in the game and stream it for the past few years. People love billy, it's a super common sentiment with high hour players.
Guys, I will have you know I have 50 viewers on twitch so my opinion is the only fact there is. Out of the 100's of 1000's that own and play this game I know what they all like and dislike. It is of complete coincidence that my billy only stream seems to only attract people who agree with me and because of this it is easy to determine that this is the majority.

no, it's generally the viewpoint of most players who become super experienced as survivor as well
usually those people quit over time due to things like this happening, so you hear less and less from them
Source: Trust me bro I know the opinion of every survivor player in the world

You're probably one of the only players I've ever run into that sees it this way. From a survivor stand point Billy has a huge amount of counter play and enjoyable looping, usually always involving skill from both sides. Billy isn't insufferable to play because his power, or addons, or the skill floor and ceiling being high. Billy is insufferable to play for a lot of people because of the overheat mechanic as well as the map design over the past 2-3 years making him suffer more than most other killers.
Almost every survivor regardless of skill that I run into when I play Billy enjoys going against him, especially when using double engravings and curving. That sentiment is also shared heavily in the community on these forums and on reddit. You literally sound like you've attempted playing him for 5 hours and quit, that isn't a problem with the killer, that's a problem with you.
"You're probably one of the only players ive ever run into that sees it this way"
Man be discovering how echo chambers work, and DBD players sure know Billy mains love their echo chambers.

It's because exhaustion at the moment doesn't suit the game in it's current state (exhaustion doesn't tick down while running anymore etc) and it would be too strong to add to other killers. If devs tweaked exhaustion so it would suit current gamestate better it would be possible but I don't see them bothering doing that for a long while and for them its easier to just shelve the addon type for a while.

Take it from the NOED 3 blink nurse saying DS is a "problem" when all you need to do is slug them or go for the unhooker. Lmao

So, the reason why I fell in love with the temptress that is DeadByDaylight. Such a tough question.
I guess when it was when i first started the game back at last halloween i think. I was browsing youtube and came across this thrilling vid about being hunted by at the time I thought was terrifying killer. It looked exciting so I went ahead and bought it myself. (I thank now I know as Monto for that haha)
The game was amazing, it made my heart pump with fear and my hands tremble with excitement unlike any other horror game or anything of the like before had and least to say, I was hooked like a fish.
Eventually I got better and better, got the dlcs because why not. Fell more in more infatuated by the game hour after hour. Got confused on the way, upset at losses or the toxicity and more importantly satisfaction from what I achieved in game.
I joined communities of my region, joined every person that had “ttv”s stream and even joined in on some of their fun. Made good friends that I talk to daily now and also a few enemies I avoid like the plague.
This game is like none other. Even now after what seems like an eternity of hours I still find excitement and a thrill when playing this game. Even when its just a hold M1 contest. Even after I had basically finished the grind that is dbd there is still more to do, and as a result more friends to make along the way.
I said I fell in love with it back at the start of the game, which is true. But the reason I am still in love with this game is because of ~~addiction~~ its increasing content and more opportunities to meet and play with people.
Im finished with my sob story now, sorry it was so long.

EGC ONLY activates for Survivors if they open a gate.
Therefor, if Survivors trigger EGC; they are in a position of control and anyone near the gate will easily leave.
On the other side of the coin, if Killer activates the EGC by closing the trapdoor, it means he's already killed 3 Survivors, and now activated the EGC from a position of power, and will probably kill that 4th Survivor.
Again; working as it should.
I have only been referring to the EGC being triggered by hatch when there is only 1 survivor.
I have no issues with EGC when there is more than 1 survivor.
the last survivor, yet again has factors in regards to even if they can even reach a gate if they power it, let alone open it. hatch spawn, gate placement, gen positioning, all affects this, and more often than not the survivor is not in a position to do more than 1 gen anyway. you are failing to take this into account.
And lets be honest, it does not really mean the killer has "killed" other 3 people. DCs occur way more often then they should ruining the teams chances of winning at that point alone. Suicides occur resulting in the same manner, people go afk, or ranks just mess everything up. There a lot more factors at play than the very simplified outcomes you are giving.

It's working as it should be.
Whoever triggers EGC (Killer or Survivor) is in a position of control:
If Killer triggers EGC, he will probably kill whoever's left.
If Survivor triggers EGC, they will probably make it out of the exit gate they just opened.
It's working as intended, and as it should be.
(Missclick on early post)
The survivor isn't in control, and is forced with a fake dichotomy. They don't even have a 50/50 chance of escaping as the killer can choose what gate to go to. and none of this even adresses issues like gate spawns.

You say you don't want to give Survivors a free escape, and then you suggest the exit gate doors slowly open on their own if the Survivor is being chased?
The simple fact of the game is that, if the Killer closes the Hatch, he did so knowing it was in his favor to do so.
Why should he be punished with the hatch giving a third escape attempt somewhere else?
Why should he be punished by the gates opening on their own?
EGC is working as intended.
Those were just half baked solutions as examples, nothing more. evading a killer for quite a while when assuming a lot of pallets are gone, then having to go to a gate isn't as easy as it seems anyway.
Intended doesn't mean it is what it should be.

"EGC stops hatch stand offs." This isn't entirely a thing. If killers want to get their sweat on for that glorious 4k, all the killer has to do is sit on the hatch, wait for the survivor to come along and bam. they are focked (at least this gives insidious utility besides camping /s). The survivor does not have many options in regards to their survival if this happens. They could just wait the killer out leading to a stealthy stand off. They could do a generator, but that of course would reveal their location and depending on map size and current generator placement in regards to the hatch placement, could simply be their death. Then of course are keys but that's not really something to always rely on is it. Or, just die. if the killer closes the hatch and the gates are powered, if the gates are both visible with a few seconds of walking distance if that, is a guaranteed kill and then leads to the question of if it was actually earnt, as they only got the kill due to garbage door placement.
Now I am not saying "gIvE sURviVOrS a FrEe EsCApE" but it should be made more fair so there is actually a possibility of an escape being earnt by that survivor in the timer of the collapse. whether that be door placements being more distant, but not complete opposite sides, door timer slowly opening when a chase is initiated, hatch opening at another random location after a certain amount of time after its closed (and this cant happen more than maybe like twice idk). As far as I'm aware the EGC was to shorten the end of the game, not guarantee free kills or escapes and what was deemed a "win" iirc was 2 kills and 2 escape.
Playing killer and having god tier door placements, superb mobility of the meta killers or simply just finding them and that alone securing the kill and not needing any skill whatsoever to get that kill feels extremely unfair, and it feels unfair when you receive it too.
I personally dislike the EGC, I like the idea of it but I dislike the easy guarantees it creates.
Also stop that garbage where people slug you as a toy so you can be killed by the entity. it was bad enough that they never had a chance of escaping, and now have to wait for a minute or so before being able to leave the game.
also I forgot to mention, I thought the option of being able to play "selfishly" was exposed to be a thing in this game, and one option that was actually advertised. Ofc we all hate that meg that sits in the locker or the claudette that hides in that bush, but If I recall that was exposed to be an option in regards to a pathway of escape.

I imagine that it would be hilarious to run it, push the button, then run out before the killer can leave, but it probably wouldn't work so well in practice. The nurse in particular could completely ignore the elevators and teleport to the other side and wait for a hit, so it would just delay the inevitable.
That happens with the Nurse regardless to be fair.
