  • There are someplayers I can watch the replay for, and some I cannot. I don't know what the distinction is (maybe they opted out of being used for replays?) but I have experienced both.

  • I take it you played my first base. You even start in the bottom left in my design XD

EDIT: The uncanny resemblance to my outpost aside, if something is unfun people won't give it accolades (except maybe "brutal"). The other method of gaining prestige is kills. But if a certain outpost style is easily recognizable and not fun then players will opt to quit out instead of giving resources and prestige to that level creator.

  • I think what bothers me is the fact my outpost will be obsolete at some point. I understand they need a way to sift out bad outposts, but even once an outposts time on active or overdrive is up, it'd be nice to still be able to edit it and put it on social.

I come from a mario maker background and a huge part of that game is just going on the profiles of players who's levels you enjoy and playing through each of their creations. That'd be nice to have.

I think part of the reason building is expensive (buying the land) is because they don't want the game to be flooded with low quality builds that someone just pooped out to try to harvest resources.

So I think there's a balance between keeping the active outpost pool relatively low/maintaining quality, and allowing players to just have fun building levels.

  • "Ability to remove all buildables from a site in one go"

This already exists. Go into the build menu, go to the tab on the far right (sets or something like that) and there should be an option labeled "Free up memory" or something like that. Select that option and it will remove all blocks of a selected type. Do this for the 3 or 4 block types which start in the outpost, and viola! you have a clean bedrock only outpost.

"Ability to claim all "drops" from kills without entering buildmode and searching for them"

100% agree. Picking up drops is a newbie aid tool, but for an experienced creator who understands the replay function it'd be way better to just automatically harvest the drops.

    "More block-shapes."

I played for a few hours last night, and while just the three block shapes was a bit of a steep learning curve, I agree a triangle corner and inverted corner would be great additions. My idea is we put regular block, half block, and triangle corner in one shape cycle, and then the existing strange triangle and inverted corner in a different shape cycle. That way players can still cycle through 3 shapes, but there is the option to select more shapes.

  • Same this game has been taking an exorbitant amount of resources from my desktop. I lowered the graphics settings but it made no difference. I have

    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.80 GHz

    32.0 GB RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

I played The Witcher 3 with max settings and had no issue, but this game is making my computer sound like an industrial fan.

  • I think the game awards trailer was too ambiguous and generic for most people (is it a doom knockoff, another zombie game, another dystopian shooter?) But i'm hoping it will be a sleeper hit.

  • Thank you. These answers are helpful. I've heard good things about DbD so I'm cautiously optimistic. I understand people really enjoy cosmetics, I just have a pretty limited gaming budget so those things aren't really for me.
