@Gandor Why is it a win or a loss? Carefully read the message to which you replied. There you will read that the tools are too affordable. If all four of them take it, it accelerates the generation so much that it simply breaks the game. It looks just as absurd as if I tunneled purely one survivor on 5 generators on a nurse/spirit

You don't need to camp/tunnel/slug/use any perks/use any abilities to win if you are really good. Meaning you are definitely not forced to play blight/nurse or going for 4 slowdowns.

If 3 mins is too quick for survivor, then sure. Make gens 2 mins each. But we also have records like this
https://www.speedrun.com/dead_by_daylight/runs/yw09vl0m
so this means we also have to add 2 health states to survivor by exactly the same logic. If we consider downing only, I saw some insane bubba speedruns with double iri addons - my guess is they were in under single minute (I can be wrong, but it was super quick). Or maybe it might make sense to forget about extremes and look at the average case? Which already states killers have above 50% kill rate - so there's ABSOLUTELY no need to raise generator times any longer.
Also - you keep talking about point where survivors spawn on a gen and use their toolbox for it immediately. I had countless of games where I had 1st chase a bit clumsy (alternatively survivor was predropping everything with WoO) which results in 3 gens in first chase. But the match ended in 4K at 2 gens regardless. It's all and only about killer being able to create pressure vs survivors being able to loop for long enough without using too many resources. That's it. What does it matter if even 5 gens pop quickly if all the survivors end up dying? And again - kill rate is clearly stating killers are more advantageous.
the only problem is that I want to play normally. It looks so capricious if you take for example the spirit of the survivors killing themselves after the first fall. And if you want to play a long competition on the M1 killer, it won't work like that, and choosing perks only to slow down the generator is so boring. the current meta is pretty disgusting even though I'm not a dbd veteran
and what is the point of citing as an example a person who recorded 1,000,000 hours in dbd and this is literally a large part of his life. I'm sorry, but that's not what I'm going to turn my life into.
I don't play the game to win, I play the game for the thrill. and what feelings can there be? and a general question to all. how can you win on m1 killer without resorting to tunneling when the survivors have 4 boxes with tools and more in chests? this is a rhetorical question
-
I still thought that if the survivors take 4 boxes with tools, it breaks the game. the question arises, are there so many of them that the survivors can afford to take them in every game? it makes you think
-
By the way, has the bug with the tools already been fixed? If not, then maybe this is the case
-
yes, I didn't even think that the problem could be in the tools, thanks for reminding me. Indeed, if you look at it this way, in every game at least 1-2 survivors take them. the question is, why prepare every game as if it were a war? i'm not a fan of regression perks, i almost always take offerings for shared point bonuses (such as theromis) i don't have any bad feelings about survivors either. But I really don't understand what is the difference between 3gen, tunneling and such gameplay? Is it really that much fun to grab a springwood map, tools and get everything up and running quickly? is that what you expect from a game?
-
even more annoying the tail hitbox is sometimes very surprising, you hit directly in the back and the tail goes through the survivor and the hit doesn't count.
-
Time has passed. Everyone has already bought the aliens and the skin of the xenoqueen. Now you can nerf because the mission is accomplished.

this map isnt fun as survivor either, its a nightmare for both sides.
All the pointless walls and tiles block killer powers and the loops for survivor are mostly useless filler trash.
and it is so big (divided in half) if you are an M1 killer, then you are directly forced to play from 3 generators, which many complain about😁
-
Burned out after a bad game? Happens. Camping and tunnel should remain for SWF because with such companies the game takes on a slightly different character and you just need to play on their emotions to win 😁
-
In my opinion, this map is generally very difficult for the killer role, but it is fun. Wesker is still not as bad as M1 killer except for Sadako because at least she has a teleporter.

Also for the "tierlists put her in B tier argument", here I have a tierlist that makes a lot of sense from pcgamesn that is two weeks old:

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/34SL9LJEBYOK/image.png
I mean honestly look at this mess, this thing is all over the place. Basically nothing makes sense here and I have no clue what their arguments are, because the text explaining it is just as useless.
Trapper is really tier A 😁 but where I watched it was at the very end, that's if you're interested. And the cenobite is not so weak because of the box

If it was not that simple, than what are you expecting of survivors? She is moving at almost double their speed so they are required to know where she is and react appropriately? At this speed that's really not that easy to do before she hits you.
if you're not injured, you can easily walk towards Rin in phase and end up behind her. Don't think I want to make Rin an invincible killer, I just want more surprises, more terror, more excitement. And now that we have, you hear someone fixing the generator, you get out of phase and run over there, but of course there's no one there. Take Nurse, Wesker, Blight they can still do it.

You still move at almost double their speed, what does it matter that they have somewhat of an idea where you are? XD Look at the spirit showcase Hens did, there are like 1-2 pallets on a normal map that can stop a Spirit and on every other tile she will get a hit.
Do you want to make playing spirit more beginner Friendly or what do you mean? I think she is already fairly easy to get into and can use perks like predator or the nurse breathing perk to help beginners, there is really not that much you need to start playing her?
There needs to be something that gives the survivors an idea where she is because otherwise you are just guessing and that's what used to be the case and it was terrible gameplay. The current version is fine.
No, I didn't mean that, but the fact that Furin was more adapted to the new Rin - now it makes zero sense. And Stridor does more harm than good. especially on closed maps.
And identifying Rin should not be as simple as it is now, apparently)

Those so called popular rating sites have the wildest ratings I have ever seen, also the things they based their ratings on are often times completely off, some use only the perks that killer has for example and not how well they go with all perks considered. I have seen some unqualified tierlists putting Blight in B tier, so unless their reasoning is good I would not give anything about the placement, also you didn't link the tierlist?
If you ask a content creator or comp player/streamer for their opinion on their tierlist they will at least explain reasonably why they think a killer is at a certain spot or better than another killer, but those sides give the most random explanations... I read one that said Wraith is A tier because he is easy to learn and helps with finding survivors and map mobility, like what?
Spirits recharge addons got buffed to make up for the nerf in her duration addons, so i guess if you run duration and recharge you are roughly where you were before, just without bonus speed, or you don't get 1 sec more duration but recharge and speed, you can still run mdr with recharge and it is insane, saw I think Hens(?) the other day doing that and it was a slaughter. If you only use her power in small bursts and don't use the entire thing up anyway the nerf doesn't impact her much, her map mobility got slightly weaker and her most broken addons combo is dead, but that is about it. She is still really strong, most likely still 3rd best killer in the game, but I will admit the gap between her and Wesker/Plague/Artist whoever you put 4th, and I would say all 3 of them are reasonable to put there, just got a little bit closer...
But it would be really hard to argue that Spirit is in B tier, with Hillbilly, Demogorgon and probably Nemesis xD That's a bit of a stretch. But hey if you being some good arguments go for it.
In general, the only thing that bothers me more than anything is that the surprise effect was taken away from her, Rin, who in the phase has fewer target identification markers than the one who is running away from her. I wish this directional hiss wasn't such a strong advantage. Rework the furin useles under the new Rin. What is there to say that even beginners with 200 hours in the game can easily understand where you are in phase with an accuracy of a meter. What can we say about high levels, but Spirits play them much more confidently and professionally.

Also Sadakos is waaaaaaay below her, the only thing Sadakos has is her teleport and condemned and if you get a tape the condemn does not even spread, she really is not that good as people make her to be and nowhere near Spirit or Wesker, I would place her around average.
And yes Wesker is really strong, probably in the top 5, but Spirits chase is really quite a bit stronger than his and his build in slow down cannot make up for the difference. Spirits chase is just insane.
I voiced only my subjective opinion about the power. I don't think that Wesker is weaker in Spirit in her current state. Mother's ring was indeed very strong. He was rightly nerfed, but I never played with it anyway.
Here, for example, is one of the popular rating sites. yesterday I actually saw her already in tier B)
some bug made me rewrite this post several times😁

Spirits chase power is way stronger than Sadakos. And her chase is also stronger than Wesker, a good spirit needs to only break God pallets and can use her power on every tile in the game, you cannot say that for Wesker. If you run the recharge + speed addons you will still have a really good chase, you only have around 1 second less of power and since Spirits power is best used in short bursts that does not really hurt her, the nerf was really not that significant as some people make it to be, sure MDR got nerfed a lot but that addons was completely busted and deserved to be nerfed.

Spirit is still around 3rd best killer, we are not buffing her.
I wouldn't be so sure. Her place has long been taken by Wesker. Here it is not even clear whether she is higher than Sadako.

I've always considered Rin as a mobility killer more than a stealth killer tbh, but I wouldn't be against add-ons that make it more difficult to know exactly where she is, similar to some of Wraith's add-ons (although I wouldn't want one that completly mutes the sounds and would basically revert the nerf).
As for the stuns, Sadako is immune to them because she's weak in chase and needed to be more threatening, whereas Spirit's speed in phase is more than 7m/s, so in my opinion she's threatening (and strong) enough with her speed alone. I also don't think her being predictable enough that survivors can outplay her is bad, on the contrary.
My previous answer disappeared somewhere, so I will write again
I wasn't talking about stealth, I was referring to the surprise effect, until recently I was experiencing it while playing. and adding such a possibility with the help of an addon is a good idea, for example, furin - now it is completely useless.
-
@BlueHorkew said:
You are invisible and run at almost 2* the speed of survivors, how are getting stunned.
Also, they already had an add-on that removed the "hiss" sound. All spirits abused the speed add-ons and discordance to gen grab people.
Use the add-on that makes your "hiss" sound omnidirectional and map wide if you want to confuse survivors and try to be stealthy.
if it worked i wouldn't be making this thread. Omnidirectional hiss only works when you are somewhere far away from everyone. as soon as you conditionally get close (26 meters?) all the power of the addon stops working

I think that 3 gen tactics are fair for those who take 3-4 boxes with tools in a match

There should be some kind of downsight for having one of the strongest chase powers in the game. And no the survs having a rough clue where she is is not enough, she still moves at almost double their speed.
friend, she already has a significant flaw embedded in her ability - she does not see survivors, even more, with some addons she does not even see red crack marks.😉
-
@ProudRinMain sorry for off topic but I wanted to ask you as an experienced rin. I didn't start playing this game long ago, but I was lucky enough to play the previous Rin. with the new Rin it became harder to approach the survivor and I didn't understand why. but thanks to you I realized that the thing is that the principle of hissing has been changed... do you think an addon called Furin will help to confuse the survivor? thank you😘

Caleb and Wesker are definitely the most stylish and cool assassins in the game. Cenobite stands somewhere near them😎

This is not the case. Ranks got changed to grades and Grades do not affect matchmaking. DBD now uses MMR which is completely hidden and supposedly decays if you haven't played in a while.
The main problem is that it seems when people dodge out of a lobby, the system ignores MMR in order to fill up the lobby and likely OP is being thrown into lobbies where someone had dodged.
Grades is the level? if yes then it says to me that my level is 90

-
my logic goes like this if i see the survivors playing weak or uncoordinated, i take my time to kill the pull game until i have 1-2 generator left so everyone can enjoy.
But sorry, when I did only 1 hang in the first minutes of the game and during that time 2 generators started and 3 on the approach, yes, you leave me no choice. Yes, I'm a newbie, but it doesn't seem fair to me.
Generators are repaired at breakneck speed, the meta perks of the survivors force you to make endless circles

well... There's your problem. You went against people that had literaly more then 20x your experience. What would you expect? If anything, complain about matchmaking
Yes, I'm also surprised by the matchmaking system, because I didn't describe it as an accident, it happens to me all the time. But I have no choice who to play against😁
-
Agree with you. I also wonder where I made a mistake that all 5 generators were started at the speed of light (just one after the other) and then I go to the profiles of the survivors, and they have 3-4k hours of experience (with a full set of MFTs, etc.) against my 150 hours ... Everything would be fine if such games raised my skill in the game, but no, the only feeling is a misunderstanding, the game in this case can be delayed only because the survivors decided to stand near the open gate and mock you by crouching and shining a flashlight one step away from the exit
