Also occurs with killer; can see through the wall, but killer box seems to be too wide to pass through.

  • Would also be interested in knowing why they feel it needs the extra limitation of the down being from a basic attack (not to mention why they added that requirement to Knock Out; pretty sure the small buff didn't warrant an extra nerf...)

Im confused, what are you asking? Not trying to be rude, im tired and not gettin it.

Specifically, the achievement requirement for adept is "Receive a 'Merciless Killer' rating using a specific killer, and that killer's 3 teachable perks." Originally, that just required killing/sacrificing all 4 survivors; you kill all 4 under those conditions, you get Merciless. This matched the survivor adept requirement of 'Escape a trial using that survivor and only their 3 teachables'

Now, Merciless Killer is based on your emblem score; you can kill all 4, but you might not get a merciless rating if you don't jump through the other requisite hoops (chasing, multiple hooks/survivor before they die, stopping gens from going too quickly, etc.).

Ever since the change, players have been asking to change the achievement requirement so it takes 4 survivor sacrifices instead of merciless; that way it goes back to how it was originally, and lines up better with the survivor version. Hopefully BHVR will change it at some point, but I'm honestly not holding my breath.

  • Same issue (also on PC).

  • I really enjoy the aesthetics of the game; the cosmetic design and power concepts for Oni and Deathslinger, were recent standouts.

I'd love to get a cosmetic for Deathslinger using a nautical/cursed pirate theme.

  • In my opinion no; I won't currently recommend the game to friends/new players.

    Primary reasons:

    ---Poor ranking/matchmaking systems

    ---Frequent/persistent bugs

---Perk unlocks being an RNG grind (particularly the RNG part)

  • Yep. Played a game against a Deathslinger; ran between him and a speared (injured) survivor, took the basic attack hit, and got nothing. Was literally touching both the killer and the speared survivor.

  • Haven't reached that point yet, but two things pushing me closer to it:

    1. Matchmaking
    2. Frequency/severity of bugs
  • I like playing Ghostface (even if I'm not very good), but I also skip the daily every time it comes up. Not sure why "Fully mark and then down" wasn't considered specific enough.

  • Oh heavens no. A few months ago I might have recommended it with some reservations, but not now. The matchmaking alone is probably enough of a deal-breaker, plus the constant bugs; I can't recommend this game to anyone I'm actually fond of.

I understand that the devs care about this game and are doing their best. I understand that they roll out bug fixes as they're able to, and are trying to deal with the matchmaking, sounds, ranking etc. And I appreciate the intent, the communication, and the fact that they've built a game that has provided a decent amount of fun. At a certain point, though, none of that matters. Fundamental systems in the game have been broken for months, and playing through the matches where those issues come up is miserable. The fact that the team is trying to fix the s****y experience for some point in the future doesn't make the experience less s****y now, and while I might stick around for a while I'm sure as hell not going to pull friends into it unless and until things improve.

  • I get these skill checks quite a bit as well (can happen whether sprinting away or not). Definitely agree that it should be changed to the Overcharge system.

  • I'd like to know if they're going to update it at any point so that we're given an opportunity to hit those skill checks (i.e. the way Overcharge skill checks already work)?

No I believe your math. All I’m saying is the top rewards in the game shouldn’t be available to someone who plays LESS than 6-7 games everyday.

Except BHVR, in their blog covering the Archives/Rift, specifically sold it as being achievable by playing appr. an hour per day.

"Our goal for our first Tome and Rift is to base our completion targets on the average daily play time of 1 hour/user, provided by our internal data. Given this, completion of The Rift and all its rewards should take roughly 70 to 80 hours of gameplay, provided players accomplish Challenges from each role.  "
