Sanctum of Wrath. That map gives me serious eye strain no matter which side I'm playing.

The only meta perk I run pretty often is Borrowed Time. I like how it encourages interacting with the killer and promotes riskier play. I also feel like it's an actual answer to tunneling off of the hook.
The rest of the meta perks I dislike for couple reasons. Since most of them are second chance perks, they negate one's mistakes and artificially inflate one's skill level. When Balanced Landing was meta, I personally ran it all the time. When it was nerfed, I realized that I had grown dependent on it, it had become a crutch perk for me. My looping game had suffered from my reliance on it. I want to be rewarded for skillful play, not carried by the strength of perks.
There's also a pretty nice variety of perks to play with to come up with different playstyles. Want to be a Totem Smasher? Got Detective's Hunch/Small Game and Inner Strength for that. Field Medic? Empathy, We'll Make it, Botany Knowledge, maybe some Autodidact. Want to do some mind games while looping? Got some Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, even new Balanced Landing. Hell, if you want to live the slug life, you've got your No Mither, Tenacity, and Flip Flop.
There's tons of ways to play the game outside the meta.

The only true facecamping I see as a red ranked survivor is when the gates are powered and the killer knows they've lost, and really only have that last objective to defend.
Will say it happens a lot more after the ruin nerf though, especially if it was a sub 5 minute game.
-
My survivor, because my killer would play too fair and get punished for mercy or kindness.
-
The games are basically faster and a lot less satisfying. On both sides, win or lose.
-
No, the killer is basically out of objectives to defend and means to apply pressure at that point.
I actually wish the proximity camping penalty was lessened/removed during endgame because what else is the killer suppose to defend?
-
Wouldn't this conversation be easier to have if we just had the actual usage rates of DS, Adrenaline, DH, and BT at the red ranks?
-
No. It's hard enough to keep my current friends that still play from quitting.
The community is terrible (though could be said any any online community), but it's also a huge grind at the start to get a usable set of perks for either side.

Overall, the game are very short (sub 5 minutes) and unrewarding. Having to chase the killer to get anything that looks like blood points. Gens are just done too fast, or the opposite where the killer is having to bring a mori to have a chance.

As a player: Disappointed and dubious.
Hex: Ruin encouraged survivors to improve their gameplay and grow as a player. Always felt that Hex: Ruin offered reasonable counterplay. One could learn to land greats, cleanse the offending totem, or (if they were desperate) gen tap. And once someone learned how to land those greats, they could apply that skill to all other aspects of being a survivor.
Dubious because it's going to force killers to play far more aggressively and sweaty. Killers will be forced to do more slugging and tunneling off of hook just to get players out of the game that much faster. Games will end quicker, and I don't see this change improving queue times, so that will lead to a less satisfying experience.
As a killer: Annoyed, frustrated
I personally used Hex: Ruin to buy myself time to find the first survivor. I never expect it to stay up all game, and even if it was destroyed in the first 15 seconds, it gives me the location of one survivor and effectively kept one survivor off of gens. If Ruin lasted longer, it just gave me more time and gave me the luxury of being able to play a more relaxed game, or to play and learn new killers I don't often play. Basically used Ruin to make sure I got enough time to actually feel like I had a chance to play the game, win or lose. I feel like without Ruin, I'm going to be pigeon-holed into using even more gen slowdown perks just to make sure the game lasts for a reasonable amount of time.
On a side note, I know a few friends in my circle are planning on stopping playing killer entirely when the Ruin changes happen. It's not because they are upset, but they are more casual players (limited free time, multiple jobs, school, etc), and can't justify the new time investment thrust upon them. When I inquired what they meant, they explained that they'd have to level up a bunch of other killers, unlock their teachables, then burn though bloodpoints and bloodwebs until they got the other perks on the killers they wanted to play. So now instead of playing killer, they will just reroll their killer dailies, and be 100% survivor.

This map is too dark both for survivors and killer. As survivor I can at least use 3rd person to still compensate for it, but with the first person view of killer, it's a nightmare.
Additionally, it's so dark, that after a few games of getting the Sanctum of Wrath map repeatedly, it's causes me to get some serious eye strain and headaches.
(On a side note, this map got me to create a forum account, so there's that.)
