This was a badham, They got 4 and a half gens done before I got a down and my power.
I then played out of my mind and barley got 2 dead and regressed all the gens.
Then someone dcd, allowing one to escape and I get a black pip and 2 kills to my record.
This isn't bannable and survivors do it every game.
This can literally guarantee at least 1 escapes almost every game and hasn't been fixed, despite having been brought to attention multiple times.
DC penalties dont fix this as good survivors can do it the once or twice they lose a day.
So please explain to me again how you dont favor survivors?
Why are you crying over a 3K when it took you 5 years to down someone?

I don't get all the killers who crutch on ruin being in such an outrage. There was only really a handful of killers it was needed on to be competitive, and even those you can 4k at red ranks without it. The best killers had already realize corrupt intervention was better in most cases.
In the meantime, almost every single patch in the past 1-2 years has been slowly but surely gutting survivors. Some of the killers are still incredibly overpowered and easy to play (freddy / hag come to mind), combined with the dedicated servers making no pallet or window truly safe anymore. Go for the pallet stun? Maybe he hits you, maybe he doesn't, who knows what will happen anymore? The new maps have pallets that are designed for good latency. Every unsafe pallet you need to stun the killer to really make use of, and going for stuns on dedicated servers is risky as hell.
All the new maps coming out are just absolute slaughtering grounds. Hawkins comes to mind, but the sanctum of wrath is also terrible. You will get maybe 6-7 pallets to use on the entire map, and an overpowered character like freddy can still just snare-lust you at literally any tile because the next safe pallet is usually still going to be 2 hits away.
I don't get the devs logic. They will prioritize doctor because "He is frustrating to play against" when there's still a ton of completely BS killers who are way more powerful and oppressive to play against. Take legion, if he sees you, you are injured. Sure, a good survivor can loop him for a while, depending on the map. But then you get him on Sanctum of Wrath or Shelter Woods, and drop 2 pallets and from then on that entire side of the map is a dead zone. I don't think he is overpowered, but he sees you, you are injured. That is way more annoying than doctor. "Oh no, the M1 killers know where I am!" is literally his entire kit.
You can be absolutely terrible at killer in this game and still down even the best of survivors eventually these days. Survivors are almost forced to run the same boring 3-4 perks because facecamping is so easy to do for cheap kills.
So personally, I welcome the ruin nerfs. And that is as a killer main, who is sad how easy and skilless the devs have let killer become.
This is obviously a survivor main in disguise

It's lovely that free hits from accidentally bumping into a survivor are gone, but the key points that make Spirit a miserable experience have really not been addressed by her changes. Namely:
There is 0 feedback to her power. You cannot make any form of informed or reactionary decision against the Spirit's power. You can know she's phasing, and your options are "completely guess where she is and hope I don't go down from a hit launched while invisible." That isn't fun. There's no skill to going against an opponent that has a massive amount of information as to your precise location, and all you know is "she's right up my ass."
Which brings us to the other big issue, sound. If you don't have Iron Will, you're #########. If you do have Iron Will, she has Stridor and you're ######### anyway. It's impossible to play around giving your exact location to her constantly. You can try all the backtracking and walking and avoiding grass patches all you like, but when your character keeps shouting "I'm right here!" it's pointless, and it sucks to play. At the very least, Iron Will should finally be changed to trump Stridor. If you're burning a perk JUST to not make injured grunts, there's no reason a perk that makes everyone louder and easier to find should ALSO be the one that trumps silence in the injured condition. It really doesn't feel great when the only somewhat reliable counterplay to a killer's power is 100% negated by their perk.
You survivors won’t be happy until no killer is viable besides nurse huh?

Survivor mains have their bias i guess.

What games are you playing? In both my survivor and killer games it's common for someone to DC the second they go down, which ruins the game.
Probably half my games someone DC's before death-hook, completely screwing over the survivors. At least if the killer DCs the game is instantly over and I don't have to wait to lose.
The keyword you said was, “someone” what i was saying was, the SAME PERSON that disconnected in a game you played most likely won’t encounter you again. But 10 strangers who plan to DC could.

The plan for disconnects is addressed in the most recent developer update, in the section "Dedicated Servers": https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103996/developer-update-november-2019
The plan is in this announcement as well: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/73858/
The problem is, survivors in your games probably won’t disconnect “excessively” so if a person with no disconnects that day happens to be in your game then it’s unlucky you.

Cosmetics are what keeps this game alive.
Cosmetics are the only thing that really matters. You have to look really cool when you get sacrificed on that hook. And only the cool people disconnect because it means that you can show off your crazy cosmetics to more people per hour.
They probably also know that they would've won anyways if the killer wouldn't play like a needy [EXTREMELY BAD WORD].
An unknown error has occured
Why are you putting the blame on just killers? I’ve been in both killer and survivor matches where people DC after getting down quickly after the match starts. I’ve seen killers be sweaty all game, and run the meta only to DC once the last gen is popped. This isn’t a killer vs survivor issue, it affects both sides.

It’s more of the fact that NOED can completely save a bad killer. Adrenaline only delays the inevitable.
