• I have the same problem (but I have the game on Epic).

  As soon as I start the audio file in the archive, the image freezes and I can't even close the game via the task manager.

  I even did a new installation because the game on Epic wouldn't start (or repair).

  (The error code said that the Start.exe was missing.)

  It happened again today, but this time the game started.

• I now played it with Feng Min and when I reached the three skill checks in a row, I stopped repairing generators (as described here). Although this is not team friendly! - But that's how it worked out.
